The hotel is an agreeable location in the prettiest town around. The front desk and staff are full of southern hospitality, smiles and help. Our room was lovely, clean and beds were comfortable. There was just enough space for all of us (4.) The down side was the cost for parking and the extra charges on the bill. Three wrong charges. Everyone was very polite and quickly made corrections, but that is three too many. I would not recommend the restaurant for breakfast or even coffee. We waited one and a half hours for our food to arrive - for breakfast. No service for coffee, juice, refills on beverages. and we were only one of maybe four tables there. Although the restaurant is visually attractive, with so many other places nearby to eat, it is a waste. An evening drink on the terrace is all that we could recommend.
The terraces and the pool are a delightful treat for a hot evening.
So, if you don't have a car, don't have breakfast and make sure you carefully review your bill, I would say that The Mills House staff and accommodations were good for a family.More
