“A Must Do Charleston Culinary Tour”
Reviewed June 14, 2013

Trip to Charleston SC would not be complete without a Charleston Culinary tour with Glenn Morehead. Our Tour started with the Outdoor Market, where we chose a variety of veggies, fruits and such. The items are then forwarded to the Chef at the restaurant Leaf. Who had less than 2 hours to create a menu for our group! Meanwhile, the Outdoor Market is a great stop in the tour with lots of art work, and local crafts too! Glenn shared interesting history of Charleston as we meandered our way to Leafs. Leaf's is a relaxing, southern sexy, airy setting. Our Chef was outstanding in creating, cocktails, appetizers, soup, entrees and desserts - All with the items we chose at market! Excellent way to spend your afternoon and leave with so much experience of Charleston!

“hot day, great food”
Reviewed June 13, 2013

We did the Historic Culinary tour in 99 degree weather, but no downpour. Charlie was a delight, the food refreshingly different and interesting. I loved her take on the different places in town, even the ones we didn't visit today....good to know for when we come into town. Restaurants open and close so often, it is great to find a good one. All 10, yes 10, plates we tried were very good, varied, and worthy of returning for more. Only one was less than perfect and that was probably because we were 45 minutes late getting to that restaurant and it sat waiting for us. Afterwards we could decide which was our favorite: the fried green tomato with pimento cheese and chow-chow or the snapper with fried okra (and I usually don't do okra) and beet microgreens, or the Duck Confit Spring Roll, Red Pepper Coulis & Lemon Aoli w/ Asian Slaw...hmmmm

“Mixology Medley”
Reviewed June 13, 2013

My wife and I had the opportunity to do the Mixology Tour last night with Glenn Morehead at the helm. Not only was there a "mixology medley," but also great presentations by the staff at each stop. Each was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. I especially appreciated the statistical trivia Glenn had researched and calculated on his own. We learned the origins of "on the wagon," how you really "wet your whistle," and how the term "proof" as to percentage originated...very interesting. We also learned that Charleston has a strong, eclectic history of libation indulgence. What a city! Outstanding tour!.....thanks, Glenn.

“Mixology Tour was GREAT!”
Reviewed June 13, 2013

Some friends and I had the opportunity to go on the Charleston Mixology Tour on downtown East Bay Street. The drinks we had were so outstanding we didn't want it to end! Each place we stopped welcomed us in their own unique way, and took the time to show us how the drinks were made. I even found my new favorite summer drink! We will definitely be doing this again. Thanks Charleston Culinary Tour, and our tour guide, Glenn, for a great time and some really interesting Charleston mixology history!
