I booked a 3-hour morning kayak tour for the family. We lucked out and the tour was private. Our guide, Cooper, was awesome. She grew up in SC and studied geology in Charleston so she knows a ton about the environment/ecosystem. We had a great time learning about the estuary and local wildlife. She even pulled up some crab traps to show us a few different kinds of crabs. We also saw a Wood Stork a small Shark, several birds, and Dolphins. It was an amazing morning and I can't recommend COA and Cooper enough.

So glad you had such an awesome time with Cooper! She's here this whole season and loves being out on the water. Come again after the seasons change and experience the different wildlife that the fall brings. Thank you for coming out with COA!

What a great company and wonderful staff to book with! What can I say but the three, yes three, excursions we booked with them were the highlight of our trip to Charleston! My friend and I decided to book a kayak trip first. The staff was so knowledgable about the local environment and I really learned a lot about the local flora and fauna. They also seemed really passionate about protecting and conserving the local waterways that are so vital to the local ecosystem. We enjoyed our kayak trip so much we decided to book a paddle boarding trip for the next morning. It was my first time paddle boarding ever but it was such a great experience and glad I finally got to do it. Will was a great teacher in showing us how to maneuver the board. He was also very knowledgable about the local environment and was able to answer all our questions. We even saw a dolphin and bonnet head shark while out paddle boarding! To close out our trip we decided to book the sunset charter that takes you to Morris Island. What an amazing experience! The scenery is stunning and we saw a pod of dolphins out feeding, it truly was breathtaking to see the dolphins with the sun setting in the background. Joe, the captain was amazing and would stop the boat often so we could watch the dolphins and take lots of photos. I really recommend booking with this company if you are looking to do some outdoor activities. Not only are the staff extremely friendly but they truly seem to care about what happens to the local environment.

We do kayak tours whenever we travel. This was an excellent one. It was an easy 2 hr paddle through the marsh. Scenery was lovely and we saw some great birds and wildlife (shark, dolphin). What really made the trip was our excellent guide/naturalist, Cooper. She was knowledgeable, friendly and clearly loves her job.

Not only did we see dolphins galore but we actually heard them talking amongst themselves. Joe was our tour guide and he was so pleased that we had this awesome experience. Joe was so informative and we learned alot about the environment. We are from ND and so this was very educational and he knew all the answers to our questions. The walk on the island was spectacular and the weather perfect!!
I recommend this adventure to one and all. Well worth it!!! There aren't enough adjectives in Webster to describe the experience we had. Thanks to all staff in being sooo hospitable.

The Morris Island Lighthouse Charter, which is our most popular, is my personal favorite as well!! That's amazing that you were able to hear the dolphins and enjoy your time walking on the beach. Thank you so much for riding with Captain Joe and enjoying your time here with COA!

We did two hour marsh tour with Ben. Everything, from making reservation to checkin to tour, was excellent. Tour took us back into several different areas where we saw dolphins and several birds. Guide was informative, helpful, and friendly. Equipment was good and we all had a great time!
