My wife and I took a 2.5 hour kayak tour on 28 Sep 11 which was great. Our tour guide, Tripp, was very knowledgeable and informative. We learned quite a bit about the Folly Creek estuaries and the three conjoining eco-systems. This was our first time kayaking on a creek outside of a flowing river. You really had to paddle here. And with the rudders on the kayaks, it took some time to get use to but we finally got the hang of it though you can either have the rudder down in the water or lifted out of the water and strictly use your paddles to steer. We saw a few dolphins up close which was a great experience. Also were able to see blue crabs in a crab pot. Dry bags are provided for electronics or any other stuff you may have that you don't want to get wet. Bring water. There is room in or strapped to the kayak for a soft sided cooler. Very well worth the trip. You won't be disappointed.

We signed up for a 2-hour kayak tour around Follly Creek while vacationing last week. It was awesome! There were 8 of us in our group....all friends, and our guide was terrific. He gave us a lot of information, which we all thought was fantastic. If you are in the Folly Beach area, definitely put this on your list of things to do.

My husband and I took a 2 hour paddle board tour with COA. Our guide, Tripp, taught us the basic strokes and how to stay on and control the boards. We enjoyed the tour through the estuary and learned a lot about the ecosystem there. It was a really fun morning, and I would recommend COA to anyone who is interested in paddle boarding and/or learning more about the marsh.

My wife and I took the 2 hour tour. I had originally planned on seperate kayaks but my wife wanted a tandem kayak. The guys at COA made the change without skipping a beat. Our guide Trip was very nice. He took into account we were not expert kayakers. He took us up the estuaries around Folly Beach. We saw dolphins all around us during the trip. Very peaceful. Very fun. I think 2 hours is probably just the right amount of time for most people that aren't expert kayakers. I definitely would recomend this to anyone looking to do something a little different while in Charleston. Make sure your GPS is programmed because the turnoff the main road is very poorly marked.

4 of us went to do a kayak tour with COA. We had kayaked before around Hilton Head and other SC locations. We experience was great. The kayaks were almost new all controls worked well including the rudders our guide Will led us to an old shrimp boat near a Hammonk island we saw egrets, ibis and herons and most exciting we saw 4 pods of bottle nose dolphins during the two hour tour. Will was knowledgeable and fun to paddle with. the safety information and equipment were both good
