“Great food and awesome atmosphere”
Reviewed November 30, 2013 via mobile

Great little restaurant in an old gas station. Came in a Saturday night and it wasn't busy at all. Got the ho-cakes to start and they were delicious. We had the braised pork tacos and here chicken sandwich, both of which were delicious. We got sweet potatoe fries and Island rice for sides. Nothing special there but they were good. Overall and great meal and an awesome atmosphere. I would definitely make a return trip.

“Great spot for lunch”
Reviewed November 26, 2013 via mobile

This place won on a coin toss. We got the braised pork tacos with sweet potato fries and the jerk chicken sandwich with fried plantains. We split them so we could taste everything. There are no words to describe how good the food is. We will be sure to make a stop every time we are close.

“Ho-cakes were delicious, great atmosphere”
Reviewed November 26, 2013

We discovered this place on Triple D and knew we had to try it. It's an old gas station converted into this quaint hip restaurant. We started out with the Ho-cakes which were beyond tasty. I ordered the braised pork tacos and my husband ordered the jerk chicken sandwich. Both were very good. Such a great atmosphere, if I lived in Charleston this would definitely be a regular hot spot.

“Great Food, Location and Atmosphere!”
Reviewed November 23, 2013

After a suggestion from the B&B we were staying at we had to try this local restaurant which had been converted from a gas station to a restaurant and the fact Triple D had visited it. I had the Mahi Mahi Tacos- grilled with a sweet cabbage relish and a hint of chili sauce. Cooked to perfection and taste as well! Husband had the jerk chicken with a slice of pineapple. The chicken was very moist with a great flavor. Our sides were the fries and plantains- both very tasty as well. Outdoor seating was very quaint and relaxing. For pet owners out for a walk- you can stop here as well for a meal. We loved it!

“Great little find”
Reviewed November 14, 2013

I love quirky places and Fuel meets the bill. Its an old fuel/gas station turned into a cafe/bar. Very much a local haunt I think. The food is a southern/caribbean mix. I tried the Ho-cakes, fried green tomatoes, Mahi Mahi tacos and salads. The chocolate cake and the plantain cakes were also beautiful. Great relaxed feel with a very friendly atmosphere.
