“Good Food - Nice Atmosphere”

The food is good; trendy place. They have a nice outdoor dining area too. Pet friendly is a plus.
It's a popular eatery for the 20 something crowd.

“Unique Eatery”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 27, 2013

We stopped here on our way back from Drayton Hall. You will need a car to get here from Downtown Historic Charleston. It is too far to walk. (Parking was plentiful, which is surely not the case downtown.) This was my daugter's choice for dinner based on Drive-Ins, Diners, and Dives and it was a great pick! Definately a little something different after all the fancier restaurants downtown. The food and service were very good, cold beer for $2.50, and the atmosphere of the converted Gas Station a winner! Try to get out here while in Charleston!

“Great Atmosphere... Awesome Food... Eh Service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 17, 2013

After seeing Fuel on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives we had to give it a try while in Charleston. Made the mistake of thinking it was within good walking distance of our Inn on Meeting Street, it was a little over a 3 mile round trip hike. Upon arrival it took a few minutes to get greeted at the hostess stand even though it wasn't busy and there was no one in line in front of us. After being seated it took about 5 minutes before we asked a server passing by if they knew who our server was because we had not yet been greeted. When our server finally made it to the table he was unapologetic and sort of apathetic. We ordered the Chips & Queso with a side of fresh Pineapple Salsa. This was AMAZING, thick creamy perfection! For our entrees we both ordered the Caribbean Jerk Chicken Sandwich, the sandwich was out of this world both in flavor and size, fresh grilled chicken breast and grilled pineapple with cilantro-mojo sauce. I would definitely recommend sharing an appetizer and sandwich as the portion sizes were gigantic! This place has great food if you're willing to tolerate sub-par service.

“Trendy place, good food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 15, 2013

The atmosphere was interesting being a former gas station. The food was fresh and good although a little expensive. The clientele appeared to be mostly twenty somethings and definitely a casual attire place. The braised pork tacos and the chicken nachos were great. Not that impressed with the Ho Cakes.
