“Perfect place to enjoy Charleston!”
Reviewed June 4, 2018 for a stay in May 2018

This rental is in a historic neighborhood of Charleston and is the perfect place to 'feel like a local' and yet is within about a 20 minute walk to the sights. The cottage itself is very spacious with a great kitchen and large dining room table and plenty of room to spread out. We loved walking around the neighborhood looking at the beautiful homes. Close to the water. Just a great choice in Charleston and so much better than a generic hotel. We loved Charleston and this rental was a big part of that. We will be back.

“Mom & Daughters Weekend Getaway!! ”
Reviewed April 23, 2018 for a stay in April 2018

The cottage is super spacious, clean & convenient to all that Charleston has to offer. The waterfront is within a few blocks walking distance. Surrounding homes are all beautiful with lovely window boxes filled with flowers. The area is super quiet. There is a neighborhood market less than a half mile away. A bit overpriced but so very nice to have nearby. I would absolutely recommend staying in the cottage. If you come to Charleston be sure to do a carriage ride, walk as much as you can to really see the sites, visit King street for shopping, go to a plantation to hear even more history and be sure to try shecrab soup, cheese grits, pimento cheese anything, fried chicken & collard greens!!

“Awesome as always!”

We have stayed here many, many times and each time has been memorable. The accommodations and location are perfect. Chriss is the perfect host, available if needed and invisible if not! We simply love coming here. Our stay was wonderfully restorative. We enjoyed walking our schnauzers along the water, making coffee in the AM and relaxing while the carriages go by, and enjoying some great meals in a terrific foodie town. There may be other pleasing accommodations in Charleston but we've never, ever seen any need to look further than this lovely Cottage.

“Wonderful stay!”

If you've been to Charleston before and wondered what is behind those gates, you have found your answer in this rental! It is absolutely beautiful! From the landscaping, to the privacy, to the antiques within the cottage, all are top notch! The cottage is beautifully decorated and the kitchen is well stocked from dishes to pots to spices! All we needed was to add some food! The owner lives on the property and respects your privacy, but is available if you need her. We will definitely stay here again!

“Absolutely Beautiful!!”

This cottage is absolutely beautiful, comfortable, and private. We were very happy here with a living room, a sitting area, a complete kitchen, and a gorgeous bedroom. The owners are very nice; they supplied everything we needed. They provided a tour of their antebellum house which has been in their family for quite some time. When we return to Charleston, we will definitely stay here again! Thank you, Chriss for such a lovely place!

“THE BEST!”

This place is large, clean, comfotable and beautifully furnished. We stayed here 8 nights. It was the best place we could have found for our stay. There was off street parking available for our Ford Escape (a larger vehicle would not fit through the gates, but street parking was ususally available). It is within walking distance to most of the Charleston sites. Recommended without any hesitation! Also listed as "pet friendly" (but so clean you'd never guess it).
