We showed up with 6 folks and no reservation... They were more than accommodating and the service was above and beyond! Great food and the chef sent out extra gelato at no charge so we could sample all the favors!

“Amazing Food”
Reviewed April 25, 2013

Charleston is just world class in cuisine but Lana's is up there with the best of them. Went there for the first time on recommendation of a friend of a friend. Service was outstanding. And the food was colorful, bursting with flavor and they even accommodated my gluten free quirks; and the prices are great for what you get. It first appears a little high brow but it is anything but...it's just all class and a little out off the beaten path, so it's more of a local place than a tourist trap. Excellent and will definitely go again. Poogins Porch is great as well as the Husk..but this is equally as good.

“The very best service and great food!”
Reviewed April 25, 2013

I was staying near here with friends and a group of 5 of us arrived for dinner without a reservation. My friends and I had superb service from everyone on the staff from the hostess to the wait staff and chef from the first moment we arrived. The hostess found a table for us in the busy restaurant, our waiter was on the spot immediately and we even had a nice surprise for dessert! The food was fantastic and we had a thoroughly pleasant evening. Thank you all so much!!

“Finally dropped in for a meal”
Reviewed April 11, 2013

With all the immediate competition and while never having a bad meal at the FUEL or at the HOMINY GRILL we always passed this one up, as it looked a bit ''too dressy'' for us. Well tonight we opted to give it try. We were very casual and glad to find out most of the patrons were too.

Kelly was our server, and despite a voice change due to the pollen all else went very well. The Price Fix was a no brainer... soup, choice of salad and choice of entree for only $33. Wife ordered that I had the Gnocchi Funghi. Both were quite good and out total was $55. Not to bad for a spur of the moment dinner.

Saleeby Scale: Service: 8/10 (had to drop a point as it was a bit slow). Food: 9/10, all that was brought to table was tasty, good mouth feel and a definite ''would have again''.

Tables are a bit close and we felt a part of the conversation of the group of 4 next to us. For a more romantic evening, a booth would have been better.

“Delicious Dinners”
Reviewed April 11, 2013

Great value for the price. The roast duck and the pork piccata were excellent. The panna cotta dessert we shared was scrumptious.
