I was staying near here with friends and a group of 5 of us arrived for dinner without a reservation. My friends and I had superb service from everyone on the staff from the hostess to the wait staff and chef from the first moment we arrived. The hostess found a table for us in the busy restaurant, our waiter was on the spot immediately and we even had a nice surprise for dessert! The food was fantastic and we had a thoroughly pleasant evening. Thank you all so much!!

With all the immediate competition and while never having a bad meal at the FUEL or at the HOMINY GRILL we always passed this one up, as it looked a bit ''too dressy'' for us. Well tonight we opted to give it try. We were very casual and glad to find out most of the patrons were too.

Kelly was our server, and despite a voice change due to the pollen all else went very well. The Price Fix was a no brainer... soup, choice of salad and choice of entree for only $33. Wife ordered that I had the Gnocchi Funghi. Both were quite good and out total was $55. Not to bad for a spur of the moment dinner.

Saleeby Scale: Service: 8/10 (had to drop a point as it was a bit slow). Food: 9/10, all that was brought to table was tasty, good mouth feel and a definite ''would have again''.

Tables are a bit close and we felt a part of the conversation of the group of 4 next to us. For a more romantic evening, a booth would have been better.

Great value for the price. The roast duck and the pork piccata were excellent. The panna cotta dessert we shared was scrumptious.

I asked local friends for their favorite small restaurant and they recommended Lana. I'm glad they did as the 3 of us had a wonderful meal with outstanding service. We started with plump & delicious mussels in a slightly tangy red sauce, then moved on to salads and the risotto of the night. There is nothing fancy about Lana, just really good food & service. Just wish I could move this restaurant to my hometown in NC!

The food was good...real good in a cozy atmosphere. Our server, Paul, was EXTREMELY helpful, and knowledgeable, with the menu. We had pate to start. I felt the gaminess to be well balanced with the filler and pistachios. For entrees, we had grouper (pretty good) and frutti di mare (better than most) which were modestly priced for what you received. In closing: service: excellent; atmosphere: great; value: top notch; food: well worth it.
