Just finished a walking tour of Charleston. They are having a cold spell. I stopped in for tea. The tea was organic. I ordered the soup and a club sandwich. The clam chowder was excellent. The club was ok, fresh tomatoes, lettuce. The bread was toasted but you could tell it was stale. Service was nice.

Got into town a bit late for lunch on a record cold day. Within walking distance of where we parked. Warm welcome and helpful and efficient service and good advice on some places to visit. We had two great sandwiches.

We stopped in for hot tea and espresso on a cold January afternoon. The tea was excellent - how and well steeped. The coffee was also strong and well-prepared. The person who served us came back to check if we liked it. While we did not try the pastries, they were nicely displayed on a sideboard - sort of a French pastry shop look. They looked wonderful and other people seemed to be enjoying them. The atmosphere is open and cheerful - very welcoming. Definitely worth stopping in for a nice lunch, late night snack, or afternoon tea.

We had an hour before catching a flight and lucked into finding this restaurant! Great food and service. Happy hour prices were a pleasant surprise -$5 for a glass of Chateau St. Michelle Chardonnay. Atmosphere is relaxing and quaint. The cheese tray, mozzarella/tomatoes, smoked salmon and Italian meat platter were all excellent.

New Years day, and our last in Charleston this trip wondering on East Bay, taking pictures and happened on this place. Wonderful, a brunch special, with a salad and quiche, great Bloody Mary, and special coffee everything was fresh, and very good. Another great meal in Charleston.
