Description: Amen Street Fish & Raw Bar opened in 2009, reviving the former Amen name of Cumberland Street and restoring this historic corner. The new renovation stays true to the beauty of the original 1800's architecture while creating a comfortable atmosphere for contemporary life. Located at 205 East Bay Street in the heart of the historic district this Charleston seafood restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor dining all within walking distance of the local Market and the Charleston Harbor. The menu includes a variety of seafood dishes such as oysters, clams and shrimp in addition to an ever growing raw bar menu. Amen Street supports Charleston's local fishing industry with market fresh fish. We are open for lunch and dinner. Walk-ins are welcome and reservations are accepted as well.

“Lively Bar”
Reviewed April 4, 2014

This was my second time dining here while visiting Charleston. Two of us sat at the bar on a recent Sunday night. It was fun to watch the friendly guys shuck the oysters while sitting at the bar. It was our last night in Charleston and after eating low country food several times, we both just wanted a burger. Our burgers were delicious and cooked to order. The service was slow, but the bar and restaurant were very busy. Would definitely return next time I'm in town.

“A must visit when visiting Charleston”
Reviewed March 31, 2014

This place is my favorite seafood restaurants in Charleston. When I come back I will definitely visit again. Their seafood selection is great..they serve very local types of seafood so the experience is unique. Highly recommend.

“Exceeded expectations”
Reviewed March 31, 2014

At our request, the concierge at our hotel provided my friends and I with the names of several restaurants to sample in Charleston, SC. We tried several of them and they did not disappoint. My favorite was Amen St .Fish and Raw Bar. The shrimp and grits were a generous, but not excessive, portion and were the perfect blend of textures and spices. Loved it!!!

“Great menu”
Reviewed March 30, 2014

It has a varied but good menu selection. In addition to oysters, the clams are great. They do great with seasoning of fish. Service can be slow, but it's good when the food gets there.
