GREAT to get all information you need! Maps of ALL the free trolleys. Some History and lots of places of interest. You should park their and leave your car for the day, and take the trolleys, as they suggest. So much easier than trying to find parking spots or garages.

I strongly recommend to anyone visiting downtown to park at the visitor's center and take the free trolley, people in the visitors center are very helpful in determining which routes to take to get where you want. Trolley's will take you to the old market area, aquarium, king street, all over downtown. It beats trying to park or drive in the traffic.

We took the free trolley to the waterfront park. But we did not enjoy the ride. It was dirty and smelly inside and some passengers I'm not sure they had a home... The waterfront park was super pretty and we took a nice walk there. We decided also to walk back to our car at the visitor center because we could not enjoy the hard wooden benches in the trolley. That way we also had more fun to see charleston. If you are not lazy just walk!

We took the free city trolley to get to the Visitor's Center. They were very helpful and helped us find a way to get to Boone Hall Plantation. They have a good gift shop and clean bathrooms. Most of the big bus tours pick up from here.

Great information and help inside of the City's Visitors Center (It looks like an old train station). Folks are helpful with tickets, hotels and directions.

Beware of the Welcome Center across the street that is glassed in and says "Festiva" & "Welcome Center" on the glass. They are more than happy to let you timeshare with them in exchange for FREE tickets.
