“Great Farmers Market - Do go!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 12, 2013

The market has lots of local craftsman, food vendors, flowers and fish/veggie tents. You can buy local made honey, furniture, jewelry and outfits for your dog. The vegetable vendors had great produce and a large variety to pick from. If you happen to be there on a Saturday, I would highly suggest you spend a little time in this market. Note-there is a Starbucks right across the street if you need a little caffeine, but I also saw a vendor at the market selling tea.

“Fabulous Green Area”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 23, 2013

It’s an area that the locals will sun or take a stroll. You may be able to even jump into a game of Freeze be. The park is located near the St Francis, a historical landmark in itself. Charleston prides itself on their open parks, designed for families and even their pets. Marion Square is no different.
The square also serves as the Farmer’s Market on Saturdays and hosts many art/craft markets throughout the year.
During the Holidays, its well lit up and serves as a reminder of how pretty the holiday season truly is.

“VERY CROWDED FARMERS MARKET”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 21, 2013

We attended the Saturday Farmers Market, They have a nice mix of produce, crafts, art and commercial products. Most of the merchants are friendly folks that love to tell you about their wares.

There was one woman that wove sweetgrass baskets. She had an excellent product and was full of knowledge and skill. Nice to see an old art form still being practiced and shared.

There a lot of people at the event with large dogs and small children. Both the dogs and children create hazards to the crowd trying to pass through the narrow isles. Be careful!!

“Saturday Farmers Market”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 10, 2013

It's a square in the middle of town. Not really much to look at or do UNLESS IT'S SATURDAY when a terridfic farmers market is open. Lots of food, beverage and gift tents. Plenty of options for breakfast and lunch, and great produce, pastas, meats and treats to take home. Try the Roti-roll on the spot and some handmade ravioli to cook for dinner.

“Farmer's Market”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 7, 2013

Nothing special. No clue what people are seeing that's so great. I got there at 1pm and there were only about 20 vendors left, and most of them had few products left. So maybe half the vendors were gone because I got there late? Also, the food is not cheap. I got a lemonade for $4. It had so much ice that really it was like a shot of lemonade in a container filled with ice. I also had a Greek wrap combo and the potatoes were too salty and the tzatziki sauce was also too salty. But the chicken was nice and moist.
