The summer brings the farmer markets and weekly free movies in the park. During the holidays, it is aglow with beautiful lights. Its very common to see people out playing sports...the CofC Quidditch team practices here, too.

I go here Saturday mornings to the market and hang out and do some shopping. A lot of the vendors have great veggies, and home grown is always so much better than a market. I don't think anything's a bargain, but on par with a grocery store. And I love the craft stalls too. :) It's a fun way to spend a Saturday morning.

Should be an oasis but it's very busy. Fun farmers market though. And a good place for the kids to run - and Starbucks is just opposite.

My husband and I love Marion Square for the incredible Farmers Market. We accidentally stumbled onto it and have been coming to shop here for gifts for the last 5 years. We buy our Christmas gifts for other her from the amazing selection of pottery, jewelry, food gifts and crafts. We always plan to eat from the vendors and listen to the bands that come to entertain. This year there was a wonderful reggae band wearing Santa hats and they were outstanding! It is easy to spend a lot of money because you get so much for your money.

Charleston really deserves to win the award for friendliest city!

We have been down there many times for the farmers market. It runs from April to December.
You have all sort of farm fresh veggie vendors, artisan bread and jam makers, great finger food and artists. We love to get bread and veggies there.
It is open Saturdays from 8am to 2pm.
