This historic (1770) campus is beautiful and definitely worth taking a stroll through. The beautiful buildings and live oaks exude southern charm.

Stroll through the old center of the college and feel like you are truly in the South. The brick walks are shaded by live oaks and Spanish moss. The architecture and ironwork fences beautiful.

First, in full disclosure this is my alma mater from many many years ago, when the College was contained to 3 or 4 blocks. I received an excellent liberal arts education (that has served me well) despite my extra curricula activities of debauchery. Both of my daughters finished at the College. It is a gem in the center of the Holy City, the 13th oldest college in the country, as the president school said at one of my daughter's graduations, the college did not sing the National Anthem for many years at the graduation ceremony because it had yet to be written! The core part of the school is a large group of historic buildings preserved on closed bricked streets. I lived in a sorority house that was a historic Charleston single house. It should be a stop on anyone's tour of the city and should definitely be a stop on a junior's college tour. The oaks on the lawn of Randolph Hall alone are breathtaking - OK, maybe not breathtaking to anyone but an alum, but gorgeous. Every time I revisit I feel in awe.

Tucked away in the middle of Charleston, it was charming. It was just beautiful, and so peaceful. A great "side trip" while exploring Charleston.

Very polite staff...the college is nestled right in downtown which gave us time to explore. I wish when she graduated they would have announced that she not only had one degree but two and a minor. They only did for the young male who graduated with an AP. And it would have been a little more appropriate if some of the young women would have worn dresses at an appropriate length instead of just below the buttocks. Otherwise the graduation went over very well and she loved attending the college....minus a professor or two.
