A short walk to King Street for shopping and restaurants. Such a lovely campus, filled with the old live oaks, and buildings. The Patriot (movie) was filmed a bit here, inthe old pink building.

Interested in History? Ask about the Cannonball in the Old library, or how many Declaration of Independence and Constitution signers attended "The College" as it is known locally. The Cistern rivals Harvard yard as the best historic courtyards in all of the United States. The College is the 13th oldest College in the US, and Oldest Municipal University in the US.

I visited on a Friday which was not the best idea. It is a pretty, well manicured but tiny campus. Very few people were around and the people I met were not exactly interested in working much that day. I imagine it is nice if you want something very small and easy to walk to the downtown shops and restaurants. I was there for business and it was fine. Nice town to visit but crowded with tourists, not very relaxing. Park was nice for a quick lunch in the sun.
