We enjoyed the SC Aquarium. Lots of amazing sea life to see! We added the National Geographic 4D movie, which was enjoyable. It's only 15 minutes long, and it's a nice way to begin your aquarium visit. There is a very extensive gift shop.

My family loves aquariums and we try to visit as many as we can - big and small. While some might complain about the price of this one, we didn't mind spending the money to see some of our favorite mammals. Only one missing was our beloved dolphins. Our girls enjoyed the small atmosphere and when we arrived, they were offering an animal encounter with an owl. We moved on to the area where you can buy shrimp to feed the stingrays and this was a first time experience for our girls and they both enjoyed it. The touch tanks were fun, and the people working there were talkative. We enjoyed the 4D movie by National Geographic and loved our visit to the Turtle Hospital. It was nice to be able to walk around and look at the turtles, read about them on the signs, and ask whatever questions you had to the very nice people working in that area. What wonderful work they do! Very impressive! The surprise of our visit was when we were asked if we wanted a behind the scenes tour which we happily agreed to. We were led to the top of the viewing tank and it was neat to have a birds eye view. Our guide shared a lot of information with us about how they feed the sea life in the tank, the divers, etc. This was a great added bonus to our experience at the SC Aquarium.

This is not a bad aquarium, but it's definitely not worth the price that they charge to get in (25 dollars per person).

Very nice facilities for the family. Old interactive activities for children. Plan to spend at least 3 to 4 hours and not hurry through the exhibits.

Smaller aquarium than like Georgia but nice layout, staff and Volunteers are very knowledgeable and want to answer any questions that even the youngsters might ask. All the divers are volunteers and they do daily shows in the tank while answering questions from the guests. The aquarium is also very active in educating the public, it has a sea turtle hospital that you can tour for extra fee.
