“Oh, Trattoria Lucca is a special place, indeed.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 18, 2014 via mobile

It is hard to imagine how any aspect of dinner at Trattoria Lucca could be improved upon. Our server, Adam, offered very helpful suggestions, appeared table-side just when we needed him, and delivered some of the very best Italian fare we have had, anywhere. From the starters right through to the tiramisu and coffee, everything was outstanding. Added bonus: our bottle of wine was worth the price! That's not exactly the norm. So, head on over to Bogard and Ash for a great dinner. You'll be glad you did.

“The best Italian restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 15, 2014

Without a doubt, from appetizers, crudos, entree, dessert and wine an evening that was remarkable. The Chef, Ken V knows how to put it together and make the food a step above.
He uses the freshest ingredients and it is evident in the taste. He also has added restaurant at the Isle of Palms. Both are exceptional

“Wonderful italian gem”

Loved this small neighborhood italian restaurant. Wonderful and unusual pasta dishes not normally seen at similar places. Parking can be a little difficult, but well worth the visit.

“A dream”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 11, 2014

A few nights ago I had the honor of having in my house in Charleston,SC for a dinner organized for the Food and Wine Festival one of the best chefs, Ken Vedrinski of Trattoria Lucca Charleston, SC. The "Menu" was a symphony of pleasures. Start with smoked wild king salmon potato "lasagne". then ravioli d 'uovo, njudua and herb roasted colorado lamb for dessert butterscotch budino .. Each dish was paired with a particular wine. A dinner so you can dream for a long time.
Thanks Ken and thanks Clay Conley, Buccan, Palm Beach, FL for the evening he was a second chef.

“After numerous recommendations, finally tried it!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 29, 2014

Fantastic Italian gem in a city of great restaurants. Gnudi with duck bolognese and the slow-cooked pork chop were about as good as it gets. Quaint, cozy, and not as noisy as described by other reviews. Will definitely be returning!
