My wife and I try to do two things in any city/area we visit: gardens and water. Our water experience was a 2 hour sail on the schooner Pride with Capt.'s Tom and Sarah.
We had the great fortune of being one of three couples on this trip and I even had the privilege of helping rig sails after we were away from the pier. The boat is good size and comes "equipped" with a selection of adult and general beverages, chips and such, and you are welcome to bring aboard your own food if you are so inclined.
The sail isn't a tour, but a relaxing ride around the river confluence and waters below Charleston. As such you quickly befriend your fellow passengers and share the sail experience over a beer or wine, and take advantage of a most relaxing excursion. And at $38 p/p for the boat ticket, a cost effective means of enjoying some quality quiet time on the water if that's your aim.
My wife and I are doing it again tomorrow.
