Owner description: The Schooner Pride is an authentic replica of the 18th century tall ships that once dotted the Charleston Harbor carrying supplies and passengers to and from the plantations. She is USCG certified for up to 49 passengers and is the only 3 mast tall ship that offers public sails in Charleston Harbor. You can sit back and enjoy the the views and gentle ocean breeze or get involved with trimming the sails. We are not a narrated tour, but are happy to answer questions and point out interesting landmarks! Daily afternoon and sunset sails are available March - Early November. Special group sails and private charters available year round!

My Wife and I took the 2 hour Sunset Sail on July 4th and it was a great experience. The crew was very friendly and did everything possible to make sure we had a great time. A friend and I got to help hoist the main sail, there was a nice breeze blowing, my friends kids got to take over the wheel for a while, the crew fired off the canon a few times, and dolphins joined the cruise. Once back at the dock the crew allowed everyone to stay on board to watch the firework over the Harbor. Overall it was an awesome time that I would recommend to everyone. Make sure you bring a camera and snacks if you want something to eat. The crew only has drinks to purchase.

This was an awesome experience. Loved everything about it, the ship, the crew and the trip around Charleston harbor. There are many boat tour choices but we chose this one because of the type of ship (schooner). Highly recommend this one.

This was not on our original agenda- we stumbled upon it in an ad in a tourism guide, but it is one of our best memories from our vacation. We spent about an hour in the wind and sun, a half hour watching a storm come up over town, and the balance heading into a rainstorm along the docks! Take rain gear if you have any inkling it might rain, but it added for us a layer of adventure and we throughly enjoyed it!

We went on the 2 hr, 4:00-6:00pm cruise. A delightful sail around the Charleston. Saw dolphins, many boats and the great places in the harbor. Great views of the city. It was 100 degrees when we boarded, but the breeze while sailing made it so enjoyable. I even got to help hoist the sails! The captains and the 2 mates were really nice and knowledgeable. Had a beer and sat back and forgot about all the troubles of the world!

We came in April and ended up getting a hot sticky day. Going on the Schooner Pride was a great way to spend the day. The cool breeze and being out on the water made our trip. They were very attentive and provided drinks. We got to see Charleston from a different view as we had done the Carraige tour the day prior. Don't miss this- great!
