Maybe my expectations were too high. Maybe I thought anything in that price range would be "super". It is a lovely inn. The problems started when I got an email asking if Guest Services could assist with our visit. I requested one night be canceled and help with dinner reservations. No response. I called. The person was on vacation. I asked why in the world she had asked if she could help if no one was covering her email? Then, and only then, I was I informed of a three night minimum. They admitted that the only way I would have known that was to attempt to book two nights - at which point I would have been informed of the minimum. We worked that out, but I was dismayed with the silliness of that policy.
Our room was fine. It was fine until the street cleaning started at 6 am both mornings. They use jet engines and drop metal poles from three stories - or at least that what it sounded like. The manager was sorry and explained they were installing further sound-proofing. In the mean time they should cut their prices by half. Won't try it again.More
