We stayed at Jasmine House Inn for a short weekend. We have stayed all over the peninsula over the years, and enjoyed the convenience of this inn. Our room was huge and comfortable. The room across the hall was a bit more lively in style while ours was a bit dark, yet we enjoyed the convenience of the location. Parking was ample and easy to access. Our room was on the first floor overlooking the porch. Was a bit noisy during breakfast in the am. The garden out back was nice, but nothing special. Breakfast was a bit "off the shelf" compared to some home cooked breakfasts at other B&B's in town. Would recommend this to others

Didn't get the room we requested but the room we received was beautiful. We enjoyed our 4 night stay. The king size bed was very comfortable and the bedroom and bathroom were quite large with at least 15ft ceilings. Loved the southern antique décor and furnishings. The house puts out a delicious breakfast spread on the antique buffet. We ate in the courtyard every morning. After visiting plantations and historic homes we would return for wine and cheese and then walk to the great restaurants in Charleston. Charleston is a romantic spot to visit and hope to return .

Room Tip: We picked out a room online months before our arrival. We received a email confirmation regarding o...

We greatly enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Jasmine. The rooms are very nicely appointed with great mattresses and updated bathrooms. The offer a nice array of choices in the morning for breakfast and a nice 5-7PM wine, cheese and fruit service, which we enjoyed while meeting many other guests on the wonderful veranda. It is very quiet despite the location and within walking distance of all the sights, restaurants and shops. I would rate it a five but, while adequate, the breakfast is not up to the 5 stars I have had at the very best B+Bs we have stayed.

Jasmine House Inn is a wonderful B & B in beautiful Charleston. Our train was very late getting into town from DC due to weather, but we were greeted at the Indigo Inn with hot tea, chocolate chip cookies, and good old fashion Southern hospitality. We knew instantly we were going to enjoy our stay.
Our room was on the first floor overlooking the courtyard and was perfect. The furnishings were comfortable and charming. The bathroom was spotless and the towels were amazing.
Breakfast was simple but filling. Fresh fruit, pastries, yogurt, juices, hard boiled eggs and the most delicious breakfast sliders on mini muffins. But the real treat was the wine, cheese and fruit in the afternoon. Perfect after a day of exploring the city.
Sitting on the porch and enjoying breakfast with the newspaper or relaxing in the afternoon visiting with other guests over a glass of wine......perfect.
This was the first visit to Charleston for my wife and me. It won't be our last and when we do visit again we'll be staying at the Jasmine House Inn.

Don't know what was better, the beautiful old home and our fabulous room (The Commodore) the lovely breakfasts on the piazza, the plentiful wine and cheese in the rockers on the front porch or the warm southern hospitality from Lorenzo! Every detail was attended to. Julie and Jerica are wonderful ambassadors at the front desk. Lucille and Darla made sure the rooms and breakfast were perfect. And location! Just a short walk to the market, and all the wonderful sights and history of Charleston. Thanks Jasmine House and special thanks, Lorenzo

The Jasmine House Inn was wonderful. My husband and I stayed in the Commodore room and loved it, it was very luxurious and spacious. Although it is on the first floor and in the front of the house it was quiet as the Inn is on a quiet side street right off of Meeting Street. It is beautiful, has a nice front porch with rocking chairs and tables and chairs, and a lovely, very private courtyard in the back by the coach house. There were lots of tables and chairs and plants, it was very quiet and relaxing. Both the porch and courtyard are wonderful for breakfast or happy hour. The breakfasts were good, we had egg strada, boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, fresh cut fruit, breads, sweet rolls, juice and coffee. it was a nice selection served buffet style in the foyer on gorgeous antique buffets.

At five o'clock everyday they have wine, cheese, crackers, fruit and various dips on the buffet which was a nice way to start the evening.

The location is great, it is quiet but close to everything. We had a rental car but didn't need it at all. There was parking available right across the street at the sister Inn, Hotel Indigo. All of the staff were very nice and helpful. We walked all over Charleston, it was great. So many nice places to stop for a drink or bite to eat. Most places are around Meeting St. or King St. which are both close to this Inn. In the lobby of the Indigo Inn where you check in, they have a book with menus from several restaurants which I found very helpful in selecting where to eat.

A couple of places we ate that I would mention are Circa 1868, very good and romantic, a little pricey but worth it, but actually it was not as expensive as some of the other places we saw. It is a little off the beaten path and close enough to walk. Cru was delish, we had lunch one day there at the Chef's Table, wow they are very busy and interesting to watch. The prices were not too high at all. As we waited for our food they were making french fries and gave us some. Those were the BEST french fries I ever had! Jestine's is right around the corner from the Inn and was really good fried chicken, but I would suggest splitting an order as we each had two huge chicken breasts. We got there right before the dinner rush and sat right down, but a line quickly formed out the door. Many other times we went by the restaurant there was a line, so go early. The food is good and very reasonably priced.

One other thing I would mention that we did in Charleston was we took a trolley ride on Low Country Charleston LoopTrolly , it was great! They picked us up at the Visitors Center on Meeting Street to go to Boone Hill Plantation, but on the way they took us to Sullivan Island and Isle of Palms and gave information on the way, then stopped at a marina so we could pick up lunch to take with us and use the rest room. They dropped us off at the Plantation and picked us up a few hours later and took us back to the visitors center. This was great because we saw a few places we would have not otherwise seen if we drove to the plantation, as well got some more history along the way. Definately look them up!!

Room Tip: We loved the Commodore room, it was in front on the corner so had lots of really tall windows as did...

The staff was very friendly and came over from The Indigo House to greet us and make sure we were settled in. The room we staying in was called The Mandarin and it was beautiful shades of blue. Very romantic. The bathroom was wonderfully updated. The location was extremely convenient to downtown. The only reason I am giving this property 4 stars and not 5 is because the breakfast was mediocre. It's fine for a quick bite or grab and go but at other B&B's I have stayed at the breakfast was elaborate and made from scratch every morning. Not to worry so much as Charleston is known for their brunches at restaurants like High Cotton. Brunch out and about in Charleston is a must!
