My wife and I recently spent an extended weekend in Charleston to celebrate our anniversary. The Fulton Lane Inn was everything we expected and more. We were greeted as we walked in by SuSu, she did everything she could to make our stay perfect. She surprised us with a bottle of champagne to celebrate our anniversary. In addition, she made sure the kitchen took care of us because my wife has some food allergies. The staff was extremely helpful and delightful to speak to.

The inn itself is in a great location right on KIng Street and only a couple of blocks away from the market. I don't think you can find a much better location for the price. The room was very clean and spacious. We will definitely stay at the Fulton Lane Inn the next trip we make to Charleston.

Thanks SuSu for making this a wonderful vacation away from our kids!

We chose Fulton Lane for its location. The room we had $189/night, had a queen bed, fireplace, jacuzzi tub, cute can open bed, decent TV, free wifi. Clean and recently redecorated, we'll not tired. However if you are looking for antiques and unique furnishings, you might be disappointed. Breakfast was just standard stuff, not what I expect from B&B. It is an old hotel that has been refurbished. The coffee was awful! ! Staff helpful. Expect more for my money.

Hotel is located in an historic part of Charleston. There is everything close and within a walking distance. Hotel seems to be nice and quiet, but it might be not easy to locate it, since main entrance is in a small alley,
We had a small problem getting to the paring lot, but finally reception stuff have solved our problems.
Rooms are small, nicely decorated.
Hotel is spread on 3 different buildings standing next do each other. We slept in the oldest one. It seems to be nice, but air condition although located on the roof was loud and a bit annoying during the night. Wooden construction is not sound proof.

Value for money? Not real;y. We expected more. A lot more form this place.
I would not stay there again.

The Fulton Inn, Charleston, SC-July 30,2014

We arrived three hours early and we were able to check in which was very nice. The entire property and room 233 were spotless and well taken care of. Bed was very comfortable, fresh sheets and towels.
They had a nice wine and cheese reception.
Free breakfast is offered to be delivered to your room at a time of your choosing. We picked 7:30am-8:00am. We received a courtesy call right before they delivered the breakfast. The breakfast was great.
Location and parking was excellent. The staff was awesome!!!!
The only con is that we were woken up about 7:00am by someone (staff) doing something with what sounded like ice, I believe it may have been coming from the kitchen area below us.

Really appreciated the little extras that made this hotel a great value. For example, the included happy hour from 5-6 PM next door, the sherry at night, and the included option of breakfast in bed!!!

My husband and recently spent 2 nights at The Fulton Lane Inn. I purchased the romance package and was not disappointed. The accommodations were perfect. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious.

The staff was gracious, friendly and very helpful. Our rickshaw was right on time for our trip to dinner at Circa.

The breakfast was better than expected, plentiful and delivered
right on time.
The turn down service with the chocolate covered strawberries was a nice touch.
The best was the location. We would certainty stay here again.

My favorite hotel in Charleston, close to shopping and dining. Went down to propose to my now fiance. Staff couldn't have been better, accommodations were fantastic. Upon popping the question, we found a complementary bottle of champagne with a hand written note from the owners in our room thanking us for including them in our special day. It will be the only hotel I stay in from now on. Make sure to take advantage of the wine and cheese hour in the evening.

Room Tip: All the rooms are great, views of King street are nice.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
A romantic hideaway in America’s most enchanting city, The Fulton Lane Inn is private, intimate and exceptionally accommodating. The Fulton Lane Inn surrounds you with the comfort and gracious ambiance of a bygone era. Many of our spacious rooms feature oversized whirlpool baths and luxurious canopied beds, draped with hand strung netting. Other rooms boast cathedral ceilings and several offer fireplaces.Throughout, soaring windows frame captivating vistas of the city's historic skyline, punctuated with the many trademark church spires. The charm and spirit of the Old South live on in this historic inn, built by the family of Confederate blockade runner John Rugheimer. Regarded as the most sophisticated city in America, antebellum Charleston was the cradle of Southern gentility. The proper Charleston home then welcomed summer's casual pace by covering formal furnishings in airy muslin, replacing wool carpets with sisal, and positioning shutters to admit fresh breezes and to provide gentle shade. At the Fulton Lane Inn, that spirit has been beautifully recaptured. Here, light filters softly through louvered shades, casting an inviting glow on lush plants. The patina of fine woods, natural textures and soft pastels invite you to indulge in the simple pleasures of a more gracious time. During your stay, you'll be pampered with complimentary continental breakfast delivered to your room each morning. Our traditional Southern hospitality continues with sherry in the lobby each evening. Of course, our concierge is always at hand to attend to your every need. You're just a mere stroll from the famous harbor, historic homes and attractions. The Fulton Lane Inn is situated just off King Street, tucked away on a pedestrian lane in the heart of the city's famous historic district. The inn is literally surrounded by countless fascinating boutiques, scores of antique shops and elegant restaurants. There are countless ways to enjoy the Fulton Lane Inn. ... more   less
