We went on the Haunted Tour of Charleston, and April was our guide. We have two boys - ages 9 and 5 - and April did a terrific job of including them and paying them some attention. We had a small group - only 6 of us in total - which was especially nice.
You get to see some great areas of town that other tours do not visit - the old Citadel, Francis Marion Square, College of Charleston (gorgeous campus), and King George IV Inn.
This tour is not at all scary (which is a good thing with young children). If you're looking for a "scarier" or spookier tour, I'd recommend the Bulldog Tour of Ghosts & Graveyards.
