We stayed in room 3. The house is close to everything and the staff is great. They were very helpful with suggestions for restaurants and places to see. We only stayed two nights, but it was very relaxing and a lot of fun. Definitely recommend this Inn to anyone.

Wonderful stay. Very helpful staff. Lovely accommodations. great location. Excellent value. Only minor issue was very sparse continental breakfast served on weekdays. It had the basics, but limited choices. I still strongly recommend this B & B.

We had a wonderful two night stay at that this cozy inn and our yellow lab agrees with our thumbs up review. The inn is centrally located in the historic district and within easy walking distance to the harbor, local restaurants, etc. The staff is warm and accommodating. Excellent value.

My stay here was very nice. You couldn't ask for a better location and price. The staff was very accommodating from the delicious treats served in the afternoon to the night cap offered in the parlor. The only small mishap was when I walked into my room in the early afternoon after housekeeping had cleaned up and learned that the maid had taken and "borrowed" my cell phone charger and was coming back up the stairs to return it as I met her on her way up to my room. Needless to say I was pissed and concerned of other things that might have been "borrowed." Also I had left a half a glass of wine in a glass and the maid had poured it down the bathroom sink. After talking with management proper actions were taken and I believe things like this won't happen again. Just be sure if you don't want your room cleaned to put the do not disturb sign on your door before you leave for the day. This is an amazing gem in the city of Charleston and I would return if given the chance.

My wife and I stayed here over New Year's weekend. The location is perfect for almost everything, but especially access to King Street aand all its shopping and food. Market Street was less than a half mile away with Bay street not much further. So we loved the location, especially at $110/night.

As for the B&B, it was just ok. We stayed in the Carriage House at the back of the property. Room 11 was a nice size and we liked that it was on the bottom floor. We did not like the fact that we had to share the thermostat (in the foyer) with the other room on the bottom floor. We had a nightly battle with our floor mates on what degrees to keep it on and that is just unacceptable. We also did not like hearing doors opening and closing all night. They finally did fix the front door with WD40, but that just took care of the squeeking. The other issue we had was that they put a couple in the room above us along with their 100lb dog. So, we could hear him running around the room all day/night and that is also not acceptable. If accepting pets, keep them on the ground floor or not at all. Some other items we didnt like were the shower head was full of black grime and looked like it has never been cleaned, the lighting in the bathroom was horrible and we couldnt open the windows to offset the heat that our floor mates forced on us.

That all being said, the staff was friendly and the breakfast wasnt too bad. Each day they had a selection of seasonal fruits, homemade muffins, bagels, english muffins and the most amazing waffles we ever had.

So, all in all, you will have to make the call, but when going to back to Charleston, we will be booking a hotel instead.

this place was such a great place to stay. the rooms were cozy and even had bathrooms attached to each bedroom. we ended up having to book hotel rooms just a few weeks before we travelled to charleston and because we were going over the christmas season the medium affordable places were all gone... all that was left was really cheap stuff in bad location or really expensive stuff in awesome locations. I stumbled on this one by accident and booked it straight away because the location was good and the price not so bad.... HOW VERY GLAD WE DID! I much prefer to stay in personal places to the "chain hotel" type place. each room was different. ours was the smallest room in the house, but as a couple I felt like we fit perfectly! walking to charleston was so easy. The staff was so friendly. Food was always prepared and yummy... and on the weekend they made a small fancy hot breakfast! we couldn't be happier and if we ever go back to charleston, hands down, we would stay here!!

The house itself is beautiful on the outside, but definitely needs some upkeep. The room was nice and clean but the fireplace kept going off and on, the windows were not sealed correctly and let in cold air, and the hot tub (which is why we chose the room we did) would not stay plugged so we could not use it. Slightly disappointed in the overall stay, but can't beat the location and the parking. Probably would not stay here again, its a little expensive for what you get.
