If you want to be left alone and figure every thing out on your own- this is the place for you. If you want to be right next to the hospital far from down town but kinda close to the trolley- this is the place for you. BUT if you want southern hospitality and charming care and NOT be asked if your room is ok- this is not the place for you or ME. Pamela Who is NOT the Inn Keeper (love love love Pamela) will be so sweet to you and feed you a wonderful breakfast so you don't leave feeling like you had to stay at someone's house who really couldn't wait for you to leave and made you pay for a bed that really needed to be replace 2 years ago. The 1830's house is lovely but the garden needs some love from someone who knows what plants will flower in the summer. Room 4 is soooo pretty Room 3 has new paint but is very dull and not charming at all. Afternoon reception was dull and lacked creativity that truly would cost very little money to make nicer for such a lovely dinning room that we we not permitted to eat in even though it was 98 degrees the weekend we stayed there. We really had mixed emotions about this property and the impact it had on our 3yr Aniversarry trip to SC.
