“Great Food! Good Service!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 27, 2011

There was a bit of a wait (15 minuts or so), but it is to be expected for the top rated Breakfast spot in Charleston! Food was excellent. Unfortunately, I didn't get to try the Bottomless Mimosas. I hope to try that next visit.

“Toast Restaurant, 155 Meeting Street, Charleston, SC”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 27, 2011

On a recent trip to Charleston, SC, we looked for some casual restaurants in addition to the more upscale regulars. We found Toast at 155 Meeting Street, which surpassed our expectations. While the interior is simple diner style, seating was comfortable, the staff most friendly and helpful, and our meal one of the best we had in 6 days. I highly recommend the seafood pasta entrée with shrimp, chopped clams and spinach in a tomato cream with penne pasta. Desserts are all home-made. Toast is one of those rare-find restaurants that are top-quality.

Great food and a great atmosphere- This was recommended to us by a friend. I have to admit that the name is what intrigued me the most! The service was good and the location was easy.

“We add our Thumbs Up!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 24, 2011

We had Kayla as a bubbling, energetic waitress two days in a row. Very friendly. Between the two mornings we got the single Eggs Meeting Street - you can change the egg if you dont like poached! Delicious!!! Biscuits and gravy- fluffy, large biscuits nicely covered with gravy, luckily not drowning in it! Low Country Eyeopener was a great way to have shrimp for breakfast! Omelets were fluffy, filling, served with homefries and biscuit. The cheesy grits were yummy to this northern girl! And for us, it was convenient to our hotel. Great place for a delicious breakfast. We'll go back if in Charleston.
