Lovely spot. The tram tour was so interesting. We saw a lot of wildlife - gators of all sizes. The guide was very knowledgeable - it was well worth the money. The tour of the house was fascinating - was built without an architect and the docent pointed out flaws that would have been avoided. Charming flaws, I might add. (like off center windows, etc.) So interesting!

While we were touring, a gardner was pruning the ivy and gave me a hunk. I'm rooting it and can't wait to have it creeping up my mailbox.

Very relaxing and beautiful setting. We took the tram tour, house tour, and strolled the gardens. Even though we were there in mid- December, there were lots still in bloom, especial is the camellias, lantana, azaleas, japonica, and others. The gardens are very extensive. The tram gives you a great view of the grounds, the swamp, and many of the wildlife on the plantation...even several alligators!

Very high class wedding venue. I'm a local wedding Dj ( CharlestonDj Entertainment.net ) I've provided clients with wedding receptions at Magnolia, and the staff there were very professional..not to mention the food was superb!. For a beautiful historical Charleston event...this is one of the chosen few!

We toured the gardens and the house. Both were worth the time and money. They gardens are beautiful and the tram tour gives you a great look at the variety that is on the plantation. The house tour took you to each floor and is filled with furniture and photographs for the single family that still owns the property.

We just strolled the grounds here - did not go into the house. Pretty gardens. When we were there the Camellia were blooming which was a treat. We also toured the slave quarters. I recommend that tour - you definitely get an appreciation for what they endured.
