“What a hidden gem!”
Reviewed March 8, 2013

I wish we had made more time for this one. We didn't realize it was so big and had so much stuff. And so many books that you can research. It was self guided. I recommend spending an hour or 2 here.

“Charleston Confederate Museum”
Reviewed February 22, 2013

Not exactly what I was expecting. I thought there would be more information on the history of the confederacy although they do have a large collection of interesting items.

“Astounding Collection of Artifacts and History”
Reviewed November 15, 2012

If you are a history buff don't miss the Confederate Museum above the Exchange Market on Market street. It is literally packed with pictures, artifacts and memorabilia. Many of the items are connected with local history and places. There is a small fee but it is well worth the money and the time to explore.

“Worth a look”
Reviewed October 9, 2012

Interesting and cheap. Daughters of the Confederacy are very gracious ladies and do a wonderful, voluntary, job.

“Some of everything from the confederate side”
Reviewed October 8, 2012

There are so many things in the glass cases - guns, clothes, bibles, etc. that you almost miss the important ones, like the last flag over Fort Sumter on the bottom shelf. A true history buff would love all this. Anyone would find something of interest to spend an hour.
