The Heyward-Washington House was built in 1772 and had the only historic kitchen in the city that was open to the public. The gardens behind the house were pretty and the kitchen was behind the house too. It was very interesting to see. You felt as if you went back in time. The house tour was nice and President George Washington bedded down there in 1791.
