We arrived in Charleston without a hotel reservation but we knew we wanted to stay in the historic district but without blowing our budget too high, so, we drove around and found Days Inn. It had a delightful courtyard and looked perfect. The desk staff were delightful too and very helpful but, all the delights ended there!! The room was shabby and dirty. The worst thing was having no nets at the window that looked straight out to the walk-way so, no privacy at all..!! Everything felt sticky, dirty and grim. So, we stayed just the one night and checked out. Just around the corner was the delightful Indigo Inn where we spent the next few nights, in comfort.
Toast, the restaurant next door to Days Inn was excellent so, wherever you stay, give this restaurant a try! It’s very good.More
