If you travel with pets then you know that sometimes you compromise on the quality of hotel to have your pets with you. We would never stay here if it wasn't for our four legged children! Hotel is in a great location and has a very friendly front desk staff. The hotel is in major need of a total remodel! The bathrooms are full of black grime, patches on walls from repairs, mildew on ceiling, and older furnishings. Towels were like sand paper and pillows like bricks. There are other pet friendly hotels that are nicer and we will try those instead next time. One good thing, parking is free!

I traveled to Charleston for a weekend getaway with friends. The first room I got was very dirty. It looked like it hadn't been dusted or vaccumed in a month, the tub floor was filthy, and the room needed major upgrades.

When I checked out of the room and attempted to check into the bigger room the next day, I was given a lot of attitude by the assistant manager and manager. They told me I could not check into the room unless the person who booked the room was physically there to show her ID. When my friend originally called to add me to the room they said it would be fine for me to check in, eventhough my friend would arrive late that night! After several trips to the front desk, I was forced to book a seperate room. Thank goodness I did because my friend's flight was delayed and she didn't arrive until 2 a.m. the following day!

The second room also looked like it hadn't been dusted or vaccumed in a month. There were plastic clothing tags all over the carpet and debris. The hotel also didn't have hot water for 12 hours, and I was never refinded money or anything. The front desk just played it off like it wasn't their concern.

Do yourself a favor and pay a little more money to stay elsewhere to avoid a headache.

Room Tip: Stay elsewhere!

We visited Charleston and dealt with rain every day but loved our vacation. We were able to leave our room and walk almost everywhere so the location was perfect. The service at the front desk was wonderful and helpful. The rooms were kept very clean and had everything you needed with a small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee pot. My only complaint was that the room was damp which could have been caused by the rain and humidity! Would stay here again...in a heartbeat. (super value, too!)
