Always on our list of must-eat restaurants in CHS. Perfectly prepared pizza every time. Substituted our usual asparagus with fried egg for sun chokes with egg... Amazing!

Owned by the same folks as nearby Closed For Business this diminutive pizzeria serves up California-style pizza, salads, soup and a few pasta dishes. Popular with College of Charleston folks and easily located by tourists walking along King Street, it can be a busy spot. The house made sausage is a little spicy and is a tasty topping to pizza!

I saw online where they were voted best pizza in SC so as much as my family loves pizza we had to try it. Everyone enjoyed everything but I would like to see more choices or not so expensive to create your own.

Walked by here while doing some shopping on Upper King, and it smelled wonderful. Came back for dinner that evening - our group of 5 ordered two pizzas and one person had the caesars salad with chicken. Everyone was very pleased with the quality of the food- delicious, crispy thin crust pizza with fresh toppings. Salad greens were fresh and not wilty, good dressing, breaded chicken breast. We left room for Tiramisu... It was delightful, creamy with a hint of rum and coffee beneath the chocolate. (shared two servings amongst our group). Service was attentive without being bothersome. Would definitely dine here again! And yes, prices are reasonable, a 12" pizza was in the $13-14-15 range depending on toppings. Two people can easily share.

This place is a little smaller inside, but not in an uncomfortable way. I've been to Italian restaurants in NYC that are small and jam packed, but Monza is smaller in the sense that everyone can pick up on each other's energy. We sat at the "bar" in front of the kitchen where you can watch them cook. We ordered the antipasti. We had no idea what it was, but it was pretty amazing. We also split a Count Louis pizza, which was the perfect size between two people. The pizza was beyond amazing. We had peroni and wine to go with the meal, and finished with their tiramisu. I'm a nut when it comes to tiramisu. I have to try it whenever I'm at a good restaurant that has it. Loved it. Our server had two other big tables she was watching, but it wasn't hard to grab her attention if we needed something and she was quick and food didn't take long at all.

The atmosphere was great for friends, family, or a date. It wasn't too loud where we couldn't hear each other, but the smaller size of the restaurant allowed for a more intimate atmosphere, even at the bar. Would definitely go back if I visit again.
