“Amazing walk back in time!”

We made a last minute reservation while visiting a Civil War battlesite that was the last action seen in SC as well as the last (60) battle for my great great grandfather. The rooms, the personal service, the food were an awesome value. Bruce and Katherine are genuinely graceous people that open this gorgeous mansion and the miticulously manicured 2 acres of gardens to you. You are sure that you have become the guest of some wealthy folks in the mid 1800's while having all the amenities of the modern age! It is no wonder that they have won numerous awards. If you have ever been bitten by the bug of owning a B&B these are the folks to talk with. They have an amazing knowledge of the industry and I am sure could make you aware of any B&B's that are up for sale at this time. They have proven also that they are a world of knowledge as to how to successfully own and operate a B&B. Our only regret is that we only had one night of their hospitality. We look forward to a future visit.

We had such a relaxed, wonderful time. The house was like stepping back in time. They did such a beautiful job restoring the house and property. It is set off the road so it feels secluded, private and peaceful. The house was clean and beautiful. The Inn keepers made us feel important and special the moment we walked through the door. They, as promised, anticipated our every need. We were wanting for nothing. We enjoyed talking with them in the evening and they provided a wonderful breakfast in the morning. We were even treated to a historical tour. It is absolutely the best B&B we have ever had the pleasure of visiting.

This was our second time staying, and both times we were treated to wonderful food and drink, peerless hospitality, and lovely and restful surroundings. The house is just gorgeous, the innkeepers are welcoming, our rooms had every amenity we needed and then some. We wish we had a week to spend here!

Really superb bed and breakfast. The Browns are wonderful hosts and provide excellent food and conversation. The house itself is beautiful and impeccably maintained. (I have a feeling the whole place would pass the white glove test!) Really couldn't recommend it more highly.

This historic house has almost 8,000 sq.ft, is super clean, beautifully appointed with furniture and art from all over the world, extra large rooms, tall ceilings, wide front porch to sip wine and enjoy hors'douvres, chocolate on pillows, sherry bedside, and gourmet breakfast. A tour of the house and grounds from the fourth floor attic to the basement with brick floors and walls was led by our host who has read and re-read all the books on the civil war diaries of Mary Chestnut and her life in the house. If you are interested in history, this is an Inn for you and not to be missed!!

Room Tip: The two bedrooms at the front of the house are the largest with views of the front circular drive an...

This is a very beautiful property. The hospitality was superb by George and Catherine. Interaction with the two other guest parties was very interesting. The setting is very restful in an old, established neighborhood. This property is in excellent shape and well taken care of.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful getaway. The Browns pay attention to every little detail and are gracious hosts. The room was perfect and the breakfast was simply amazing! I ate all of my cantaloupe soup, and I don't even like cantaloupe! We highly recommend this as a must-visit for those near and far!
