This historic house has almost 8,000 sq.ft, is super clean, beautifully appointed with furniture and art from all over the world, extra large rooms, tall ceilings, wide front porch to sip wine and enjoy hors'douvres, chocolate on pillows, sherry bedside, and gourmet breakfast. A tour of the house and grounds from the fourth floor attic to the basement with brick floors and walls was led by our host who has read and re-read all the books on the civil war diaries of Mary Chestnut and her life in the house. If you are interested in history, this is an Inn for you and not to be missed!!

Room Tip: The two bedrooms at the front of the house are the largest with views of the front circular drive an...

This is a very beautiful property. The hospitality was superb by George and Catherine. Interaction with the two other guest parties was very interesting. The setting is very restful in an old, established neighborhood. This property is in excellent shape and well taken care of.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful getaway. The Browns pay attention to every little detail and are gracious hosts. The room was perfect and the breakfast was simply amazing! I ate all of my cantaloupe soup, and I don't even like cantaloupe! We highly recommend this as a must-visit for those near and far!

Bloomsbury is a beautifully restored home set in the midst of tranquil gardens and live oaks. Rooms are large, well appointed, and very comfortable. Food is great....especially the biscuits and cantaloupe soup! The Browns are warm, helpful, and make you feel at home right away. The front-porch rockers are perfect for morning coffee and evening wine and cheese.

Room Tip: The General's Bed Chamber has a king bed. The other rooms have queen beds.

We've stayed all over the country in high end B&B's, and my husband and I both agree that this could be the best. The entire property was beautiful, relaxing, romantic, and the breakfast was as good as any we have ever had. The innkeepers were just wonderful, and we enjoyed their company so much we will definitely travel that route again.

If you are looking for a well run, extremely clean inn run by very friendly hosts, this is it. This is the first place (besides our home) where my wife will go barefoot on the floors and we have been traveling for over 40 years. The breakfasts are unique and tasty. Yesterday was stone ground grits from a local mill, cooked an hour and baked 20 minutes based on a 150 year old recipe. The day before we had turkey sausage from a local farm.
The inn itself has been meticulously restored and is pristine shape. It has creaky floors and very beautiful period furniture.
If you are within a few hundred miles of Camden, you need to come by and visit. You'll love the place.

Room Tip: All of the rooms seem very similar to me. We stayed in the General's room. It is on the east, so...
