The History Tour of the beautiful grounds and interior of the 10,000 sq. foot mansion was a delightful way to spend an afternoon! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and the artifacts, furnishings and decor provided a vivid picture of the last 200 years of life in the low country! The live oak trees surrounding the house have stood the test of time for the last 200 to 430 years! At the the conclusion of the tour, a wide selection of homemade delicacies for our dining pleasure were provided! This is a wonderful tour which is well worth the cost!

Upon entering the property, you are stunned by it's beauty....it takes you back to a different time. You are greeted by a knowledgeable Host giving you all the details of the history of this amazing Plantation. We were offered to purchase a glass of wine and permitted to tour the 1st floor with it in hand. Afterwards, were treated to tasty bites. If you are as lucky as we were, you will have the pleasure of meeting the VERY GRACIOUS present Home Owners....This visit is a "Must Do" Event!

We enjoyed our tour of Rose Hill Mansion. What a beautiful home and grounds! The tour is interesting and the history of the mansion and plantation was moving. The wine and snacks were delicious! Thank you for opening your home to us!

A perfect day with the weather and a wonderful tour of the house and grounds. The curator was very knowledgeable. There was no rush, and the group was encouraged to sit on the furniture. Most of all they were gracious in allowing photographs, and served the group homemade treats and beverages after the tour. It is very obvious the owners are sensitive about the house history and of all owners who came before them. They had the vision for bringing the house back to life. Kudos

A little history, add some unique architecture and delicious snacks and you have a very enjoyable and informative afternoon. Rose Hill is a must for every visitor to the Hilton Head area. Only takes about 2 hours and is so well worth it.
