Everything was great. Happy hour 4 to 6. My wife got the steak fahitas, steamy hot and more than one person could eat. The down side was there are 3 different taxes. But that must be SC. I will keep that in my notes for next time

Pleasant, efficient service with decent food.

Main course salad with grilled grouper was acceptable. Fish and chips were pretty good (crisp, not greasy) but the tasty side of coleslaw was the same size as the tartar sauce (about 1/8 of a cup), hardly enough to serve its purpose.

Ambience was that of a sports bar, a bit too dark and lots of TV sets.

We stopped here for lunch while we were out running around - it was quiet when we arrived, but filled in soon afterward - looks like lkots of people agree that it is a great place to go.
My shrimp salad sandwich was AWESOME wonderful! My hubby had the daily special soup - Lemon Barley something??? We both agreed it was an experimental recipe that shouldn't have been served! Kinda blah - more like leftovers whirled together.... But we will give it another try next time we are out and about - maybe for dinner - they have a large variety of dinner entrees including a few German dishes that sound pretty tasty! Give it a shot - you are bound to find something good and the staff were all so nice, too!!

Okatie Ale house is more like a family neighborhood restaurant than an ale house. Plenty of good dishes to choose from including both surf and turf. Often crowded but service is always above par. Very reasonably priced.

This restaurant/bar has wraps, sandwiches, pizzas, burgers, and salads. The blackened grouper wrap was excellent, so was the French dip and the traditional reuben sandwich. The outdoor seating is very nice, the indoor seating is in a nice space but I found the air conditioning a little too much - it was only in the 50s outside the day I sat inside. The service is very good. When we sat outside, a team of two served all the tables and tended bar - seemlessly making sure that our orders were taken, our drinjs were full and that we had everything we wanted.
