My wife and I spent time over the 4th with friends at the Rhett House Inn. The Inn is in a great location, close to shops, restaurants and bars but far enough away that it is quiet and relaxing. Our room was not huge but very comfortable and since it opened to the porch we really did not spend much time in the room anyway. Since we had not seen our friends in quite a while, we spent a lot of time on the huge front porch. It is a great meeting place. The morning breakfast, cheese & wine in the afternoon followed by deserts after dinner could not be beat. The staff was friendly and always helpful. We'll be back.

My husband and I stayed for a long weekend at The Rhett House Inn over the 4th of July. It was the first time that we've ever stayed in a B&B and it was fantastic! The house is gorgeous and our room was well appointed. We were in Room 7 which is the only room that directly opens up to the side courtyard and fountain. Although it is easily accessible by other guests, it was like we had our own private garden. The daily breakfast, afternoon snacks and nightly desserts were wonderful! We highly recommend the pecan pie and the almond cake - yummy!!

In addition, the staff is very friendly and helpful from making dinner reservations to making sure that we had chairs and towels for the beach. Our server each morning was Devondra - what a pleasure she was!

All in all, this was a great trip and we highly recommend The Rhett House Inn. The bar has been set high for any future B&B's in other cities that we may stay in - when in Beaufort, however, we'll definitely be staying here again!!!

My husband and I and best couple friends had a fantastic experience at the Rhett House Inn this past weekend. The staff all very hospitable and very friendly, espcially the lady that checked us in and offered us an upgrade when they had a cancellation. They went the extra mile to make sure we had a delightful visit. Our rooms were beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The amenties are endless- the welcome champagne, tea, lemonade and homemade cookies for afternoon refreshments, hors-d'oevres 5-7pm, and delicious homemade desserts 7-9pm. We had late dinner reservations so they let us reserve our dessert choice and had it waiting in kitchen when we got home after 11pm. The breakfast was delightful Sunday morning. Great chef prepared delicious omelets and much more. Devondra also took very good care of us. She is so friendly and efficient. We can't wait to return and have spread the word in Charleston S,C about the Rhett House Inn

Room Tip: we loved room 11(in cottage across street)great a/c and jacuzzi tub for 2

My husband and I are thinking of relocating to Beaufort when he retires, and we wanted to spend a few days there exploring the area. My sister had spoken highly of the Rhett House Inn, so we followed her recommendation. We booked room #10, with a private entrance and screened porch overlooking the garden. We could not have asked for a better place. When my husband made our reservation, he mentioned that we would be celebrating our anniversary there. Josh (who took our reservation) was there to show us to our room when we arrived. A lovely "Happy Anniversary" card and a bottle of champagne had been left for us. Everything was exceptional from that moment on. We LOVED Josh, who was at the front desk every day during our stay. (I'm sure he will remember me as the woman who constantly threatened to adopt him!) But I have to say the ALL the staff members were extremely personable and helpful. Special thanks to Lanier for restaurant recommendations, garden information, and just general information on living in the area. Breakfasts on the veranda were scrumptious, as were the afternoon snacks in the parlor and evening desserts in the kitchen. We felt as though we were visiting friends in their home rather than staying in a hotel, and we truly hated to leave at the end of our time there. I can't speak highly enough of The Rhett House Inn. I hope I to visit again - sooner rather than later.

Stayed in room 2 and loved the private entrance to the 2nd floor porch. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious, absolutely loved the blueberry pancakes! It was great that we were able to borrow beach chairs and towels even though a tropical storm was blowing through the weekend we were there. Location is awesome, just a few minute walk to downtown Beaufort. Great place to stay if your son or daughter is graduating from Marine Corps boot camp at Parris Island, which is only a short 10-15 minute drive from the Rhett House. Despite the weather, we had a wonderful stay and will return next time we are in Beaufort.

Loved staying in room 17. It is in a separate building on the second floor with a porch and large bathroom. We had a very comfortable bed and it was super quiet. We enjoyed getting to know some of the breakfast staff, especially Devondra. I don't remember the cook's name, but she was very nice too. We met Josh who worked later in the day, and he offered to personally drive my husband and me to a nearby restaurant because it was raining. We still walked with an umbrella, but appreciated his generosity. We enjoyed our breakfast every morning. We also liked going to the Sanctuary Golf Club Pool, which is included with your stay at the Rhett House. Also the location of the Inn is great for walking to the shops on Bay Street. We will be back.

This was our first experience with a B&B and it was wonderful. We were in a cottage room with it's own porch. It was quiet and private. The room was large, immaculately clean and the bed was very comfortable. The Inn met all of our needs from beach towels and chairs to bikes for riding around Beaufort. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly. I can not say enough about our visit and we look forward to returning.
