Showers are very important in the humidity of SC. When I turned on the shower, no matter how long I let the water run, it was brown. When we notified the front desk, the response was "brush your teeth with the bottled water." For $130 a night, brown water. Unfortunately, we had to change hotels. There is a $5 flat rate parking lot on Craven so location is really not worth $130 a night, even if the water had been clean. No Wi-Fi in the rooms, only the lobby and around the pool.

We are sorry to hear you were so disappointed with our inn. To cite the notification we have in each guest room, “The discoloration of your water is aesthetic only and is safe for consumption.” We provide bottled water in the guest rooms and at the front desk as a courtesy. The aging water mains in our area that cause the discoloration are being replaced as we speak. As for the lack of Wi-Fi, has been addressed as well. In fact the installation was just completed on April 17, 2012. We hope you will give us another chance to provide you with the accommodations and service you expect. If you wish to discuss your experience further please don’t hesitate to call me directly at 843-522-2090 Ext. 260.

Stayed at the Sea Island Inn over Easter weekend. Very nice, clean, and updated accommodations. Walking distance to great restaurants and shopping. Motel overlooks the water and close to everything. We took our bikes and enjoyed biking the town. Staff surprised our 10 and 7 year old with an Easter Basket filled with goodies in our room. Easter surprises at breakfast Sunday morning too. Staff went out of their way to help with anything. Kids enjoyed pool which was ample in size and had nice lounge chairs and foliagel .At breakfast, Emily went out of her way to accommodate the children including bringing out Capri Suns and helping with the Belgium Waffle maker. She also made homemade banana bread Easter Morning! Had forgotten how convient it was to walk right out the door and have car right in front of room. Really made everything so much more convienent than staying at hotel with inside doors. Area is very quiet and safe. Would recommend the Q on the Bay to eat and Plums. Both are very good and with in walking distance. Don't miss Hunting Island State Park and take a Beaufort Kayak Tour. Mon-Fri the Kazoo Museum and Factory is open for tours...We loved it!!!!

From our family to your family we thank you for your kind words. I will certainly pass along your praise to my staff, especially Miss Emily. She's a peach, that one. You'll have to come back and try her breakfast casserole! We do hope that if your travels bring back to Beaufort you and your family will choose once again to stay with us!

Across the street from the marina and waterfront park, and walking distance to shops and restaurants. Nice decor, very clean, everything worked. Internet thru ethernet - but there was a cable already attached in the room. Free parking. Breakfast included the usual plus eggs and sausages - in a separate building with beautiful furnishings and some comfortable sofas and chairs. Quiet, but walls a bit thin - could hear somewhat noisy guests next door but certainly tolerable. Be aware that nearby Parris Island (Marines) has graduation every Friday - hotel is usually full Wed-Sat - and everyone just assumes that is why you are there.

Room Tip: Two levels - no elevator. Ask for room in back or overlooking pool - although even rooms overlookin...

this is one of my vavorite hotels iv'e stayed in. they have a great location, thats within walking distance of downtown beaufort. the pool is nice and relaxing after a long day. but the best part is the staff, they are all very pleasant and helpfull, the price is very reasonable and the rooms were clean and quiet. they have the best breakfast iv'e ever had at a hotel. can't remember the older lady's name at the kitchen, but will never forget her kind maner. she made a lot of stuff homemade and was very helpfull. it is an older hotel but well kept. if you get the chance try them out. you wont be sorry!!!. will be going back this may.

Room Tip: ask for rooms downstairs if you like the pool. the backside is quiter if you don't like the nois...

We stayed here for our anniversary and had such a lovely time inBeaufort and the surrounding islands. The breakfast was huge and Miss Shirley was very gracious to us. Great staff at the hotel and our room was nice and clean...best location for walking to town, shops, and restaurants. Loved the proximity of the hotel. We will be back because we missed the kazoo factory!

While I have stayed at this location several times over the years, this time was the very best. They have spent the dollars needed to bring the rooms up to date as their location is undoubtedly the most convenient for a pedestrian experience in the historic district. My brother and I took our soon to be 87 year old mother down for a few days to enjoy a warmer climate and to do some sightseeing and shopping. Upon arriving, the nice fellow at the front volunteered to put us in a room that was ground floor with easy access to parking. Excellent! He also recommended "Emily's" for Dinner and it was a spectacular dining experience. If you want to experience the ambiance of a "miniature Charleston" then you need to make this your headquarters. Walking distance to a plethora of good restaurants and also to the shops along Bay Street. As we left on Sunday morning we skipped the wonderful continental breakfast at the hotel and went to "Blackstones" for Shrimp and Grits. As we were leaving, film star Tom Berenger walked in and sat down. Beaufort is a charming place and the Sea Island Inn is a great place to stay!

Room Tip: Due to traveling with our mother, who will soon be 87, we preferred a downstairs room.

Very nice place, excellent staff, clean, good location, good price, no frills. I was in Beaufort visiting some friends on their sailboat. The hotel was right across from the Marina and worked out great. The staff was super nice and helpful. I would stay again for sure.
