The centerpiece of such a history filled town. The graves surrounding the church makes it a bit cool to observe and appreciate a settlement of such age.

“300th Anniversary of St Helena's Episcopal Church”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 26, 2012

This church is off the beaten path but worth finding. The cemetery has some unique headstones. Some dating back to the 1700's. The church is gorgeous on the outside was not able to see the inside. A must see for sure

“What a blessing...”

St. Helena's Episcopal Church is where I attend Commuity Bible Study. The church is centrally located in downtown Beaufort, the Pastoral staff is wonderful and although we attend Community Bible Church on a regular basis, we have attended Christmas Eve service at St. Helena's, which brought back fond memories of my childhood.

“Worth a walk through the cemetery”

The church was closed when we arrived, but the cemetery was peaceful and super cool. Loved reading the gravestones and enjoyed the live oaks. A great experience!

“Great piece of history...”

Absolutely beautiful and one of my favorite parts about this church is that you can visit the grounds and cemetery at all hours day and night. Worth a stroll or a deeper look depending how much time you have.
