We had a group of 6 experience a very enjoyable lunch this past Saturday while visiting Beaufort. Jon, our server, was extremely attentive as was the rest of the staff. Very plesant experience. We all ordered Panini sandwiches -- a few had the crab and shrimp Panini which they said was delicious. The chicken paninis were also very tasty as was the pimento cheese panini. Every time I am in Beaufort, I make sure I take time to eat at this restaurant. The outside area is great!

Our first night in Beaufort we chose Panini's because we were fairly tired from our drive and did not want to spend a lot of time researching restaurants. Even though it was March that particular night was warm enough to dine outside in their courtyard. House salads with tomato vinegrette were large, fresh and tasty as were the bread sticks that came with EVOO for dipping. The lobster bisque was tasty but thin. My entree of shrimp and grits was quite good and I did not have to search for the shrimp - always a good sign. My husband's "special" - grilled swordfish over mushrooms and spinach was also very good. Service was slow - especially while we waiting for the check. It could be that the waitress had tables inside as well as outside and was just busy. Otherwise she was friendly and helpful. Prices were reasonable and I would return to this restaurant for lunch or dinner. It is also a place where children are welcome.

The veal scallapini was very good with plenty of pasta in a marsala sauce. The small marargarita pizza was also very good.

We popped in on a Tuesday for lunch and had THE BEST PIZZA!! We were able to sit out back on the patio on a beautiful sunny day. We couldn't imagine being able to eat the huge panini (although we watched them being made and they look amazing), so we shared a pizza. The crust is nice and thin and everything is very fresh; delicious! We loved it. Jennifer was our server and she's THE BEST!!! I haven't laughed so hard in a long time! Perhaps she was a comedian in her former life?
We will visit Panini's again on our next Beaufort outing.

the food was very average. We had meatball sandwhich, which was huge, but not particularly memorable. The chicken pesto panini was similar--felt like it was missing something that would provide some zing. And the salad my husband ordered with the blue cheese and walnuts just didn't blend well with the lemon vinaigrette. On the plus side, we enjoyed our waiter who told us quite a bit about Beaufort, and we found the restaurant's interior to be lovely. Location overall was great--on the waterfront--but there's not really a view from inside and it was a bit too chilly to be outside.
