Situated just a street or two away from Bay Street in downtown Beaufort, Emily's seems to be a local hot spot and a place where other people from the restaurant industry in town come after work. We noticed a few people that we recognized from other places. Speaks to the respect Emily's seems to have in the neighbourhood.
The restaurant is split into a dining area and a bar area but you can still dine in the bar as long as you don't mind a bit of extra noise. It can boisterous at times but all in good fun as everyone is enjoying themselves.
Starting with some tapas, we really enjoyed the garlic beef and the shrimp with panchetta and peaches. The sauce with the garlic beef is especially good so hang on to that to dip some bread in, etc.
When we visited last week they had a great Mahi Mahi encrusted with corn flakes and deep fried with cajun peaches and rice. Really awesome - everyone else in our group was going for bites.
A really huge menu that will please anybody. Service does take a little bit but the atmosphere, friendly staff and ultimately the enjoyable food makes it worth it.
