While on a golfing trip to. Charleston, SC we tok a side trip to Beaufort. We arrived mid-morning and went. Looking for a breakfast place. The first place we went into only had pastries, but recommended Blackstone's for a full breakfast. A little hard to find and had deal with one way streets and parking places, but when we found the cafe it was well worth the effort. My wife had an omelet, which was ok but so ful of ham it was a little dry. I had egg,s Benedict, and they were excellent. Our server, Jennifer, was great, mixing humor and great service. We recommend the cafe, and ask for Jennifer for an even greater experience.

Definitely start your trip to historical Beaufort by stopping by Blackstone's Cafe. Jennifer, our waitress, not only provided us with superior service, but gave us so much valuable information,a docent
through and through. The coffee hit the spot on a rather chilly morn and we followed it up with grits to die for, eggs done to order, and biscuits as homemade as your momma.
Stop by from your home away home- the restaurant is filled with awesome memorabilia. Low Country at your very best!

We had a fun discovery on a side street of Beaufort, Scott St. The service was good at the busy lunch hour, the house was full. The decor is very simple. They serve breakfast all day, so we gave it a try. Although the sticky buns were noted as home made, they were very dry and a disappointment. The omelets were greasy, but the coffee was good. Guess we should have chosen from the lunch menu.

We had reserved a table for our group on Saturday morning and everyone at Blackstone's was very solicitous. The food was great, and the signature shrimp and grits were wonderful. Our server, Jennifer, was focused on our needs, and, as much of our group was from out of town, she enumerated a number of Beaufort-centric activities that they might enjoy.

It is heart warming to see such advocacy for our exceptional city.

Our trip to Beaufort unfortunately was a bad one but our experience at the Blackstone stood out as really special. We had breakfast here and were impressed with both the food and the great service even on a busy weekend morning. The staff here works hard, is very attentive, and they are incredibly friendly. They're also a great source of information about the town and clearly really care about visitors and want to make everybody's trip a good one. If you visit Beaufort this should be one of your first stops.
