“Charming, bright, and fresh!!!”
Reviewed June 5, 2014

Remodeled from an old bank, Lowcountry Produce Market and Cafe has a open feel about its dining room. This, coupled with its local products displays throughout the facility give it a purely Beaufort charm. The menu is relatively simple, but made fresh with local produce and delivered with a warm smile. Prices are very reasonable and the selection of spices and produce, as well as take home entrees prepared for finishing in your own kitchen make for a good spot to stop and dine, or just drop-in and carryout. Lowcountry also carries a great wine selection to drink in house or take with you.

I'd love to recommend the BLT, and the icecream sandwiches make for a great desert!

Hi Ryan!
What a wonderful review of our Market and Café ~ we are thrilled that you enjoyed our historical building that was originally built as a post office (the safes in the Market are deceiving) in 1917!1 And thank you for noticing our LCP Handmade and Handpacked product we sell as well as our prepared foods, wine, beer and fresh produce. Thank you for taking the time to write such a special and wonderful FIVE STAR review!!

“Yummy breakfast with friendly service”
Reviewed June 5, 2014

We loved this little restaurant at the Sea Pines Center and the breakfast was a good value as well as delicious. Blueberry pancakes were full of berries and hot. Nice to eat on the porch.

“Great lunch”
Reviewed June 1, 2014

My wife and I had lunch here recently while visiting Beaufort, and we enjoyed it completely. The spot is in what appears to be a repurposed post office, and the renovation is wonderful. In addition to food, this spot has prepared foods, desserts, and salads. There are several superb salads in a case that do not appear on the menu. After I ordered, I learned from the owner that they were available individually and as a sampler. Everything is clean, crisp, and friendly. It is a feel good type of place.

Barry, our Market and Café is housed in a building that was built in 1917 as a Post Office!! We often hear stories from people who had PO boxes here or parents worked in this building. We are pleased that you enjoyed your lunch and were able to check out the prepared foods ~ we have added a line of frozen dinners and soups since you were here in May! We hope that you will come down from Kentucky for another visit soon! Thank you for taking the time to write us a wonderful review!!

Reviewed May 30, 2014 via mobile

We stopped by for lunch and had a great pimento grilled cheese with pepper jelly and BLT. The store is full of cool stuff. We came back later for homemade ice cream sandwiches that were amazing!!! Totally worth $4.50 :)

“one of my go to lunch spots”
Reviewed May 30, 2014

always something good from the low country produce kitchen - luncheon salads, sandwiches and great burgers always please. Most recently they've added prepared meals to-go; we've only tried the chicken pot pie, which was filled w/ chicken and quite tasty. i know i will be purchasing many more of these meals. generous portions, polite waitstaff, a beautifully renovated historic building and free parking make this a great choice for lunch or Sunday brunch. We dined there one Friday nite and enjoyed live music as well as tasty small plates.
