Lynne and I have now dined at Griffin Market on two occasions, once for the Fixed Price Sunday menu and again for lunch yesterday. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will certainly be back. Great wine selection. The food is simply wonderful. I happen to love Alici and try it at any new place that we go that serves it. The Griffin Market version was the best in my experience - beautifully presented with a nice contrast and blending of flavors. On Sunday evening, we had the veal and spinach raivoli - unbelievably good!! Those are but two examples - Lynne and I enjoyed each of our plates. Our servers on each visit were very professional, attentive without being overbearing, and readily able to discuss the various menu options. The owner spoke with us on each visit, perhaps ready to correct any concern, but we had nothing but praise for him and his staff!

Just loved our experience at Griffin Market. Friendly owners, great service and best of all----outstanding food. My husband and I both had the sea bass. It was moist tender and scrumptious. Having lived in Italy for several years, we are always craving real Italian food. This restaurant is a real winner. I recommend reservations and they are on Open Table, so easy to do.

While the food was very good, the quantify was very, very small for the price. The atmosphere for a quiet dinner was excellent. The wine was superb.

We knew going in that the portions were small and a bit pricey but that was okay. We had the antipasti appetizer and it was great! We then had the Pasta Bolognese and Grilled Shrimp with Polenta and they were great (Shrimp and Polenta better)! Too full for dessert...Cons? Lacks atmosphere, appropriate music. They only serve wine and beer.

We arrived a few minutes early and when told our table wasn't ready, we asked to sit at the bar until ready to be seated. We already checked in with the host but had to validate 3 more times the fact that we had reservations. Once seated service was quick and impersonal and very rushed. There were several other people all well acquainted with each other and the staff focused on them with greater enthusiasm. It was very cliquish environment. We had antipasto dish and home made pasta dish with a 3 meet sauce. Ordered some more bread which was never served.

All in all if you want snobbery with a touch of good food you might go. If you are part of the click, you will be treated well. If you're an out of towner, pick another restaurant.
