“Pleasant place to stroll and browse”
Reviewed October 5, 2012

A good little downtown with a variety of shops. From fine crafts to jewelry to books to beachwear to historic attractions and now with several antique shops, Bay Street is a nice place to spend at least a morning or afternoon. And don't forget an assortment of restaurants sprinkled throughout.

“Lovely stores!”

We couldn't resist the antique stores on Bay St. What great bargains! We ended up having to buy an extra suitcase to bring home all our treasures!

“A Step Back in Time !”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

There are not words to describe the beauty of Bay Street in Beaufort. The huge gorgeous trees with spanish moss hanging from every branch makes a canopy over the street itself. Bay Street, just as the name says, follows the Bay around the town. There are cute stores, wonderful restaurants, etc. in the historic part of town itself, but just driving/walking Bay Street is a treat. We were fortunate enough to stay at the Cuthbert House Inn on Bay Street where we had a gorgeous view of the bay everyday. If you don't stay on Bay Street, at least walk or drive there and enjoy its beauty.

Nice, multiple resturants and bars to visit. Have to visit some streets back beyond Bay st to get more flavor of Beaufort. Waterfront location on Bay st. Nicely landscaped waterfront location.
