Great quick tour around the city. Would like to do it again with so much information to take in! It was much fun.

You get a great history of Beaufort while enjoying a leisurely ride around the town; the tour guides are knowledgeable and they treat their horses right.
This historic town contains numerous examples of historical architecture - lovely homes dating to the 18th century as well as coming forward through the Victorian times. There exists a 1950s home which was built before the village instituted a code controlling the buildings that can be erected. There are numbers old churches to be viewed and visited, a lovely park along the water front and a quaint village with some lovely shops and eateries. We had a great guide; a young gal who has led tours for the past 6 years. It's lots of fun and they don't overwork the horses who are loved and well cared for.
We arrived at 12:00 for a 12:20 tour and we had Bill the drive and Rocky the horse. This was a fantastic historical tour of Beaufort and was great way to introduce us to the town and the historic district. Bill was knowledgeable and very friendly and he gave us a great tip on where to have lunch after our tour was over. We've done a lot of tours in a variety of locations and this was one of the best. You really can't go wrong with this tour company. It's also a great price at $18 per person for a one hour tour.
The evening after my nephew graduated from Marine Corp boot camp, we were looking for something fun to do. Driving along the waterfront at 5pm, we noticed the horses and carriages. Talking to a driver, he informed us they were closed for the day but would reopen at 10 am and try to return. We came back at 10 am the next day and are so glad we did! It was a delightful trip through Beaufort. Our driver told us she was a "history buff" and her enthusiasm and knowledge of the area was evident . She and the horse made a great pair and left us wanting to learn more of your great city.
