My husband and I stayed in the Victoria room at the inn, it was immaculate, beautifully decorated and had a great view to the bay. The breakfast was very nice, food was great. We took the boat tour on Friday afternoon and saw several dolphin, it was amazing. We took the carriage tour on Saturday morning and learned the history of several historical homes and sites in Beaufort which made our trip very exciting, we both love history. We went back and walked the streets to one of the churches and toured the grave yard of soldiers and went inside the church where we talked to members that gave us the history of the church. We also visited Hunting Island Beach which is only 16 miles away
where my husband climbed to the top of the lighthouse. At night we walked downtown and visited all of the wonderful shops and had drinks at Luthers bar (food was great), we sat in the swings by the bay and watched the boats come in and the children play in the park.as you can tell there is lots to do there - our only complaint is that we needed
more time to take it all in. Jeff and Mary Ann were very friendly hosts along with everyone else we met there. It was a very relaxing mini-vacation and we will definitely do it again. We recommend the Cuthbert Inn to anyone!

This lovely and historic inn is located facing the bay of charming Beaufort, SC. My elderly cousin and I stayed in the spacious Mariner Suite which was immaculate and delightfully decorated in a nautical theme. Outside our suite, there was a terrace with wicker chairs facing the water. In the evening we enjoyed our complimentary evening refreshments and the cooling sea breeze. The delicious breakfast was served in the elegant dining room. Our hosts were kind enough to bring my cousin's breakfast to the suite as she was unable to navigate the stairs. Parking is off-street.

We had stoped briefley in Beaufort just after visiting Savannah and thought that it was an interesting town and directly on the water which is a big influence for me.
We had a warm welcome from Mary Ann and given some welcome cold refreshment on an exceedingly hot day and invited for a sundowner which we accepted and did after showering and changing out of our travelling clothes.
Another couple joined us for drinks, patrick and Lynn from Boston, and the six of us had a very pleasant chat it really felt as though we should have gone out to dinner to continue,it was so very pleasant.
The room was very well appointed and the decor was extremely well considered, the bathroom had both a tub and a shower and again it was very decorated.
The public rooms int he Inn were very tasteful and extremely to my taste, some larger Inns with corporate owners sometimes are a little too contrived this Inn has some very personal touches and feels like a home.
Breakfast was exceptionally good with some intriguing combinations and the dining room has a good veiw of the river.
The parking facilities are good and there are several balconies and terraces to relax upon if you have the inclination, stay a little longer than we did and do so and and ask Jeff about the vaious Islands and beaches theres a lot to see around here.

This is really one of the best inns we have stayed in. The antebellum house is beautifully restored and furnished with amazing antiques. Jeff and Maryann are wonderful hosts. Evening cocktails were a special plus as we got to know the other guests over good wine and scrumptious hors d'oeuvres. Our room was spacious and comfortable with lots of extra touches that make a place special.
The local was ideal and the front porch with its welcome breezes was a welcome sight after a day of sightseeing.

My husband I and spent a wonderful weekend in this delightful bed and breakfast and would highly recommend it to anyone. The rooms are beautifully decorated. Everything is first class, including the nice thick towels and expensive sheets. The bathroom had all the amenities you get in a first class hotel, with much more ambience. Mary Ann and Jeff hosted a cocktail hour every night where we got to meet the other guests which was great fun. Breakfast was delicious, served in an elegant room with a great view. We enjoyed sitting out on the porch with a beautiful view of hte bay. The Inn is located a very short walk from town, where there are many resturants to choose from. The Inn has beautiful gardens and many porches to sit and relax. Mary Ann and Jeff were fantastic hosts. We were looking at the realestate in the town and Mary Ann was able to guide us and organzie our day which made our trip much more productive. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting the area.

My friend and I just spent two nights in the Garden Room at the Cuthbert House Inn.
The hospitality was wonderful - the owners Jeff and Mary Ann were so helpful to those of us who were new to Beaufort. During the 5 pm wine break, we sat on the lovely porch overlooking the water and we learned about the great restaurants in the areas as well as the history of the Inn.

Our room was beautiful, spotless and spacious with extremely comfortable beds- which helped to make the weekend even more relaxing! The location of the Inn was just perfect - we walked everywhere. It was such an enjoyable experience - we hated to leave.

Thank you to Mary Ann and Jeff for a lovely stay in Beaufort. I look forward to visiting again soon.

We stayed for three nights. When we arrived we were greeted by
Mary Ann and Jeff who own the inn. Mary Ann checked us in and
then took us to our room(The Victoria Room). The room was very
nice and well furnished. Everything was very clean. There was also
a nice view of the bay in front.
The inn is within a short walking distance of the water front where
there are many shops and places to eat. It also has its own parking
area right behind the inn. We found it very nice to just leave our
vehicle parked at the inn and walk down to the water front.
The breakfast was well served and satisfying. We did not attend
the social hour but we were told by the other guests that they were very nice.
Last but surely not the least, you are not allowed to smoke in the inn,
which to us was great.
We had a wonderful time and look forward to staying there again soon.
Thank You Jeff and Mary Ann!
