wonderful night in Beaufort at the Beaufort Inn....quiet, clean, exquisite bed and linens...so much so that my husband always takes his DeWolfson Down pillow to sleep on as pillows are seldom comfortable to him and just before we left the Inn we had to "disrobe" all the pillows on the bed to find ours....they were ALL so soft and wonderful we could not distinguish our own....the breakfast was very delicious and varied ....great locale for walking Bay Street for shopping and just an overall excellent stay....we will return....

Thank you for your kind words. We are thrilled you loved the pillows, our Chef prepared breakfast and our quiet yet central location. We are always trying to upgrade our bedding since that is essentially why our guests stay in a hotel. We are proud of our bed comfort and now I feel just as good about the pillows. Thank you and please come visit us again soon.

We love the Beaufort Inn. Great place for a "QUIET" stay. We were up graded to a cottage and it was perfect. Staff went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. We plan to come back in the summer for our anniversary.

Lovely inn, and Beaufort is indeed a charming location. We stayed in one of the cottages, making it an absolutely private stay. Cottage was perfectly appointed (only issue was with the window shades which didn't all work). Huge bathroom (with shower and tub). Breakfast was delicious every morning. Great location for exploring the Lowcountry.

Room Tip: Didn't see the rooms in the inn proper, but the cottage we had was great.

My husband and I recently celebrated our anniversary and stayed at the Beaufort Inn. We stayed in the main house. Our room was beautiful and spacious. All of the staff continually went above and beyond their duties to make our stay enjoyable. I have say thank you to Donna for helping us find a really good restaurant the first night and walking with us to the location. Thank you Kayli for all you did in booking the lovely room and working hard toward us not having to switch rooms after two days. Thank you Knox, for the great food and breakfast and also to Freda and Ann for the great service. Finally, the location of the hotel is so close to everything in downtown Beaufort. We only used our car when venturing to the adjoining islands.

The Beaufort Inn is everything a bed and breakfast should be. Beautiful. Welcoming. Gracious. We stayed in one of the cottages, my mother, niece and dog. The grits could have been better at breakfast, but that's the only complaint any of us had.

Thank you for your nice review. I am so glad you loved your visit to The Beaufort Inn. As a Southern Inn representing the Qunitessential Low Country Experience, we have to have GREAT grits. I'll discuss that with the Chef. Come see us again soon.

I stayed here for one night in December, 2012. My room was in an annex building in a cluster of little cottages very far from the main house, and a long way to drag a suitcase. The room was okay, but the light in the bathroom was so weak I had to open a blind to let in daylight to see anything in the mirror.

The receptionist is clueless, and certainly did not give me a warm greeting as one expects at a Bed and Breakfast luxury inn. I went back to the reception area at 5:15, having read on a card in my room that snacks would be put out at 5PM. Nothing was there, and when I asked her about it, she looked at her watch, jumped up, and returned a few minutes later with a plate of sliced cake, not exactly what i was looking for as a prelude to dinner.

The breakfast was on a par with Holiday Inns. Buffet, cold pastries, and actually now that it's two months later I can't remember what else was there, as it was not memorable.

This B and B has made its pact with the devil of weddings, receptions, rehearsal dinners, etc, and the lone traveler should stay far, far away. There are other, much nicer, B and Bs in Beaufort where reception knows your name and the amenities are worth the price.

Room Tip: Try to get in the main house, upstairs away from the dining room.

I am disappointed by your review and apologize for your experience. Our staff gets kudos from most all reviews so I can't be sure what went wrong here, but I am truly sorry. Most guests love our breakfast which includes, fruit, cereals, meats, a french toast or other breakfast casserole and made to order omelettes. Again I am disappointed you did not like it. Many of our guests love the homemade cakes and sweets we put out in the afternoon, but we are going to try some less sweet items like scones and jams to see if that is a better choice. Please give us another try and see if you like it better.

Beautiful. Great breakfast which was served early on the day of Parris Island graduation. Thanks for that. Convenient to lots of shops, restaurants and historic sites. The inn has a beautiful staircase leading up to the rooms. Loved the porch. Peaceful.

Thank you for your kind words. One of the many great things about The Beaufort Inn are our porches. Many rooms have private porches, some semi private and rooms in the main Inn have porches out front, on the sides and in the back. Lots of great areas from which to "people watch". Please come stay with us again and relax on a different porch each visit.
