“Beautiful Stroll”
Reviewed November 12, 2012

This is a beautiful arboretum like park designed by the same individual who designed New York's Central Park. Found in the heart of quaint downtown Westerly, RI, you can also find an excellent place to have lunch.

“A place to relax.”
Reviewed October 18, 2012

I came here with my friends to just lay out on a blanket and relax. We settled in by the pond. There was a family there feeding the ducks. It was nice and quiet and we stayed until the sun went behind the building. It was nice and clean and close parking is easy to find. There isnt really things to do but its a great place for a picnic or a jog. Seems very safe.

“A great place to relax or take a stroll....”
Reviewed October 15, 2012

Having relocated to Rhode Island from the Detroit area, I was excited that this park was right down the street from me. It's a decent sized park perfect for strolling, picnicking (there are no grills or anything so pack your picnic basket) and taking a walk. The park is filled with beautiful large trees, squirrels, a pond stocked with goldfish where you can occasionally see ducks and a rare blue heron. It's quiet with benches throughout and large grassy areas where you can set down a blanket and read or relax. There is a cute little bridge along with flagstone steps and a fountain. It's a gorgeous park and I'd recommend it also for an outdoor wedding even. Pets are welcome and they even provide baggies for cleanup. Keep in mind that there are no public restrooms for the park but you can probably easily find someplace in one of the surrounding businesses or the library next door.

“Wilcox Park - an "almost" hidden treasure.”
Reviewed October 12, 2012

We visit this park every time we go to Westerly. It is so pretty and well-kept (it's private, that's why !!).
Go in the spring and see all the beautiful trees and bushes in bloom. There's a pond in the middle with ducks too.
Chris Columbo welcomes you as you enter on one side.

“Nice old trees”
Reviewed October 8, 2012

In center of downtown Westerly, this is an old garden park with a duck pond and many beautiful old oaks and other trees. Nice place to stroll.
